Metal Detecting a 1700's colonial site with the XP ORX

3 жыл бұрынIn this metal detecting adventure, I return to a new/old late 1700's colonial site with my XP ORX that i found last year just before the crops were planted. Ive been hunting this particular site for many years but was never aware there was a mid 1700s site close to the highway. They have just recently picked the crops and now is my chance to get on it and hit it hard! Come along with me and see what all find, it was great day for buttons ill say that, Ha!

I completely understand. Mine are not perfect. I'm liking my XP Orx. Good machine.

100% I've used alot of different machines and I prefer the orx over most of them. I swear I believe its deeper than the deus but that's just my opinion

That field has a lot more items to be found Matt. Those buttons were very nice finds!

Nice finds with orx. I have a lanyard from the beit to the handle of the metal detector so when you bend up your metal detector comes up with you. Handy in wet weather. Tim uk

How thick is your iron there?, and do you gb or leave it around 88? Nice hunt there, like how you give us the numbers. I like when you let us hear it b4 you dig it as well. Tc and happy hunting my friend

At this particular site the iron isn't that bad, however some of my other sites are infested

I would of thought you would prefer the x35 coil for relic hunting?

It seems the HF coil has a slightly better and faster response time than the X35 and seems to hit certain items deeper. I do like the X35 as well but my main go to is that small 9" HF

Like your videos but don't understand why you take items and knock the dirt off of them on your detector shaft. Detecting for almost 50yrs. I really take care of my equipment. Terry from Tennessee.

Idk just done it for the past 20+ years. I've never been one to go home and wipe it down when I'm done, my daddy always said a piece of machinery always worked better when it looked like it had miles and use on it. So I guess that's part of it 🤷♀️
