John, the livery button has naval connotations, the star image looks like a Capstan or windlass off a 17 century sailing ship. the image below it looks like a section of rope. I hope this helps.

Great finds John. Being from Texas, I am no means familiar with medieval or Roman finds, but the large weight looks like the 3 marks on the bottom may be a trident, so maybe Roman? The unidentified round object with the two broken bits on the edges, may be a heavy fabric or light leather decoration, that had prongs that clasped on the back side. Just my thoughts. Looking forward to part 2. Cheers from Texas.

@@thescottishdetectorist no worries…I think that someone else mentioned it also. A little bit more info…there appears to be 2 variants… one made in Bombay, which has a specific thickness (as in, the height when laid flat)… there’s a young lad who did a KZfaq vid about the coin (Christians Coin Corner over on The Coin Dictionary channel) in which he mentions some more about it Whether you can tell which you’ve got from that, given the corrosion, I’m not sure… maybe worth a crack once cleaned up a little? The vid also reports that the coin is 1/32 of a Indian penny (I think, unless, it was of their equivalent of a pound)

Hey John, not sure where your video is with that beautiful aurochs artifact. I’m now suspecting that it’s a lot earlier than what I’d originally thought. I believe it could easily be Byzantine, but there are similar Saxon examples from around 620 AD. Although it may have been a bucket handle embellishment, it could also have been from a belt, as was the fashion during this time.

11:49 As for the coin, there is actually a British pound that some time had a lion on left side and a unicorn on the right side of a shield with a knights head/ helmet above. Also I know some Swedish coins from mid/ late 1700 had two lions on each side of a shield with a crown BUT the faces of the lions was facing outwards. Also when Norway was part of Sweden they had the same with two lions, shield, crown but facing outwards. So we can rule out Sweden, as for Norway they had mostly one lion and Denmark 3 laying lions. The Dutch coins of 1800 I think had two lions, but let us know when or if you find out. Might be edited as video goes on.
