G'day folks. Well another hunt out in the trashy area with the Minelab Manticore and the M9 coil, was doing my head in until I decided to change it up. Nice results.

Some happier swinging settings, Mr CBK! A couple of identifications, and observations: The brass lever, curved and notched, with rusted square bolt, Mr Coffee Bush Kid, it's a coffee grinder handle! The square shaft of rusted iron runs down the grinder, although the brass handle stays relatively loose to detach on removing the top parts for cleaning. The bulbous silver surrounded with lugs, a baby teething rattle. It'd have a few dried peas within the hollow body, and little bells or baubles on the lugs. On the thin end, a length of red coral or mother-of-pearl, so baby can puncture their teeth through their gums with a germ-free material. Anything rubbery would infuriate the wee bairn. The ballast tank, that'd look great in the garden, even useful. Is it fair game, do you think, with the right Palfinger equipped ute?! We'd taken on board an approach by Luke of Dig It Detecting, on finding a site, target first the sought numbers and after gridding, include all numbers if worthwhile. Young Rob Parsons, down Tas, using only a GM 1000, this last episode, he's not a relic hunter per se, but the viewer suggestion taken to detect first with ferrous discriminated out, he'd gotten onto targets right away - of sufficient interest to start gridding and mapping the finds and site, a knoll surrounded by loaming cuts and shafts... I ought recommend your channel to him, my exhortations to him to get an Equinox and pinpointer aren't effective yet on the gold-sniping platypus! I think however his love for history and new-found interest in some detecting as part of his adventures will lead him to that understanding. Last observation, the corset fastener, placed for reference purposes upon the remainder of the lady's delightful lilac glass knickers, what a treat! 💮😋 Yr obt svt, Gabriel. Narre Warren.

Gday Gabi. Thanks for identifying the handle on the coffee grinder. Aussies needed good coffee even back then. The babies rattle is a good call. Pretty fancy one. The ballast tank is staying right where it is as far as I’m concerned. Great bit of history. There was a fair few targets around the dump sites I visited but not enough to make me want to grid them all. Some spots are worth it at times. Good luck with the Rob project. I tend to follow Levi the most. Thanks as always for watching and the comments. Take care mate 😁👍

Thank you for the video and advice. Your silver thing-a-ma-bob looks like it had rings on it. It might have been part of a fancy lamp or chandelier. The rings would have been for chains. Just a guess, but we can make up any story we want. G'day.

The Iced Coffee-Bush Kid WARNING Drinking this refreshment May cause brain freeze. And, or rapid facial hair growth. That button looked nothing like Moses, where's the robes and the long white beard, wait a minute!... I'm sure I just saw one moments ago. Rewind! No! No! It's ok, that one had glasses attached, Moses didn't wear glasses and the colouring is all wrong. Now Andrew! If you're going to be playing on the road, There is! a good chance someone will run across something. In car conversation! What was that thump? Ah! Just some coffee bush growing in the middle of the track, it's grows all over the place here! And going by the rearview mirror, that one's pretty wide spread too! There'll be Tins and glass Buttons and buckles Coins and carry on's too But none of these things Will ever be found Until the yabbering's through. What will they think up next, How about that! A triangular Halfpenny that lights up your desk! Very clever, and very enlightening too. Ooh! A lead washer! Umm!... I got nothing for that!... Next! Hmm! Remnants of half of a high quality slingshot? I was going to say Groovy threads man! But that would just be silly. Thanks for the warning RE: Ballist, Andrew, but to late! Clean up on lounge deck, isle one! But the main question is, did it fit on the ute? There's Rivets, then there's Rivets, But those are RIVETs! What was that button? Balls, Good and damaged? That's an unusual sales pitch! Make up your mind Andrew, it's either a button or it's not! Please don't add to my already overloaded and confused state! Nice scarf slide and large ornate bit of Silver. Hmm! I must be getting tired, That last bit of comment if mine was somewhat normal.

Gday Wayne. Great that you watch everything in great detail. I had to go back and watch as this had been finished a few weeks ago just to keep up with you 🤣🤣 The ballast tank stayed where it was. I like them but not enough to dig one out of the ground. I was given a side of one that I used in my shed behind the heater as a baffle to protect the wall from heat. Did a great job and the tank was useful. Thanks for watching as usual and for all the comments. Take care mate 😁👍

@@TheCoffeeBushKid G'day Andrew! The thought had crossed my mind that you might not remember everything from a hunt, and what I had written seem nonsensical without review. Which is pretty much valid for most, if not all of my comments, Sorry to put you to that trouble, because I realise I'm not the only person you have to respond too. And having to go back to see what I'm talking about would be time consuming and a pain in the nether regions. So next time it works out this way Just smile and nod And say "G'day"... And send me happily On my way. Or these words that come to mind, Spoken by W C Fields "Go away boy! You bother me!" I'll still be smiling! Cheers Mate! And thanks! Hooroo!

Another good hunt Andrew. Cheers for sharing. I have noticed you using All Terrain Fast quite a bit lately. So interesting to see you use All Terrain Trash Reject. I find Trash Reject has poor target separation especially for those trashy dump sites. But I enjoy exploring what the Manticore offers and finding what’s best for your needs depending on where you’re detecting and also how your concentration is that day 😂 nothing wrong - as you said - with some discrimination! Catch you next hunt. All the best mate. Camille 😊👍
@TheCoffeeBushKid
@TheCoffeeBushKid Ай бұрын
Gday Camille. I’m using fast because I am running my mate Sid’s settings. There has been links in videos before. He changed a bit in the background so he could find small Roman coins in amongst iron. Thought I would get used to it before we go to the UK so I could hit the ground running. I do run trash a bit with the extra notched out bits and usually run 8 on the recovery to help with the separation. Maybe I should look deeper into a few things in the manual. Thanks for watching and the comment. Take care mate 😁😁👍👍
