Please join us as we search two permissions deep in the hinterlands of Pennslyvania. This is Amish country and the horses and buggies were everywhere. We make some really cool relic recoveries to include silver coins and a family treasure that I was able to return to the family.

That S shape thing on the side of the building,my dad told me they used to heat the connecting bar in the middle,then screw the S as tight as possible,then the bar would cool and shrink.I believe they used left and right hand threads,so they could orient the S and then turn the bar to tighten it.Cheers Chigg,love your work!

Great video as always. The thing you said looked like part of a flashlight at 23:25 looks more like part of a lamp socket and the cut out you said was for the on off switch is for the switch you turn to turn the lamp off & on with.

That part to a flashlight is actually the socket cover to a lamp with the 3way thumb switch on the side.

That looks like a spectacular place to metal detect, I'd have to setup a tent down by the creek and make a weekend of it. I love how you're giving the family back all the family things, i always do that too, whether they ask or not some items just belong with the properties they come from. Sweet finds

I know by now you have been corrected on the pc. that was to an old flash light. I think it went to a modern lamp. The metal jacket where you would screw the bulb into. Love your stuff and keep it up.

I grew up about 10 miles from that farm and found quite a bit of silver including a few halves at that church in the background back in the mid 80's with an old Fisher 1220x Pro!!!!!

Nice part of a hunt Chigg, with some interesting finds, but you've left us in suspense! I liked the farm tractor that came into shot there for a few minutes. It looked like the 40-10 John Deere I used to drive on the farm back in the 1970's. It sure reminded me of the countless hours I spent driving that thing from dawn to dusk. Farm work is tough dirty work, but so rewarding. I do miss the farm, but not the chores. Nice of you to share some footage of the Amish fellow driving by. We don't have them out here. In fact the only way you would see a horse and carriage if is you went to one of our county fairs, interpretive centers, or old museum. Even then it would be a rarity, so I thought the fellow driving by was really cool. I love how the farm fields and big old barns look like something out of a Currier and Ive's painting or Christmas card. Such wonderful Americana. How lucky you are to be able to hunt such lovely places.

That Hempfield marked piece looks like the end of a key fob that could be purchased by high school seniors back in the day. Hempfield High School is in Lancaster County .

My first time detecting was on a old chicken farm and we didn't know it . We gave up after digging up around 100 chicken leg bands ..... Ha!

Great finds chigg. I'm curious about the spring area. I bet you found some good finds down around it. His dad will be surprised to see the old watch winder I'm sure. The token was a cool find to an the Merc. If he's found several arrow heads down around the creek, I'd be headed down there to. Thanks for taking us along on the adventure chigg. We are having a winter bug issue here in the midwest too.its really weird, 20 outside and bugs flying around. and the 1904 worlds fair coin would look great in our st.louis history museum. im surprised that you found that in PA.

I played the part of Toto in a 4H play. It was so much fun to reveal the "wizard" behind the curtain. Somehow I was able to crack the whole audience up. It was a foreshadow for my life. It seems that there have been any number of wizards needing revealing, hiding behind curtains.

We are in Mifflin Co. but that day we were in Juniata Co. lots of old structures in Central Pa. if you look at old 1600 and 1700 maps of Pa you will see lots of settlement and French Indian war forts along a Susquehanna and Juniata River. We usually do colonial but in short notice couldn’t get on a 1700s for that day.
