The glass lid is for an old mason style jar. They had a wire latch that would hold it onto the jar.

Thank you! Always learning when it comes to relics being mostly a beach and park hunter for the last few years. Much appreciated! Any idea of the age for it?

Good Morning Guys , went back and watch your video again and have to tell you, " WELL DONE" I have done very little relic hunting and i really enjoyed the hunt almost as much as beach hunting but at 78 years young i get around a little better on the beach, lol . Look forward toward your next video and thanks for the Sub.

Hey WW, thanks for watching through it again! I've watched through it a handful of times myself. I am pretty new to relics and learning them is much harder than learning coins, and even at that I still consider myself novice. Can't wait for that warm weather to come and depositors to flood the beaches again. Looking forward to getting out with you soon.

Nice hunt didn’t know places like that still existed back east. There has to be some old coins there. With some colonial potential.

Oh they do but they're very hard to find in my area. It's been well developed and the history tends to hide on private land. Folks aren't too fond of allowing us to hunt their homes so finding sites like this is a rarity. Just subbed to your channel. Thanks for watching!

@@JerseyDigs Thank you. Living in the intermountain west I'm geographically challenged. Romans never walked here, and settlers of European decent didn't settle here until the mid 1800"s or later.

@@MetalDetectingUnedited-lh7bm hm that makes it tough definitely. Are you strictly a relic hunter? Might be worth switching focus to modern valuables

@@JerseyDigs that is where I’m at. I hunt local parks and schools. I find exactly what you would expect most of the time and that is fine by me. My videos are so I can answer that age old question. “What sounded different between this nickel and the last or next pull tab?”
