Nothing like a nice hunt in the English countryside to start the day. Hope you get a new shovel and it turns out to be your lucky shovel and you find that Viking hoard.

Their in Norfolk which wasn't Viking, it was Anglo Saxon. It's an amazing find to locate a Viking broach, and finding one in that area must be extremely rare. There have been a few Anglo Saxon hoards found in that area though, including Sutton hoo.

but then the hoard belongs to the Crown so if he finds it he shouldn't film it or mention it.

It absolutely was Viking. They controlled the area from about 880 AD under King Guthrum. Look up Danelaw.

Love the Nokta Impact! I use one and it's a cracking machine and Dilek Gönülay from Nokta is brilliant and so is Mazzy. Oh yeah you're not to bad Dan 😜

Awesome buckels the round ones are shoe buckels went out of style around 1800 the pin toung and chape are missing from the middle.

first buckle of Mazzy's is late saxon early medieval, nice William 3rd sixpence,and a stunning crotal bell,good hunt both of you, ATB Paul

I had a go with one of those machines at Detectavil with the sellers and Daniel o' Bairnes , nice and light compared to minelab , you can take the pound to the bank will take it , haha Dad bought your At pro he didn't like it either , Mazzy had a great buckle older than 1700 , and a lovely William love token give it to mazzy :) best wishes :)

Dan, You said Mazzy was despondent when she did't find something gold, like she has before. I'm thinking to myself, You better check her trash pile and the next thing I look up and you Are checking and lo and behiold, she trashed a 1700s buckle? Wow! Mazzy, you will get it. Expect to find the best relics out there and make sure you keep everything and have your man check it before tossing it. : ) OkeeDokee? I Like that Nokta Detector.

I can confirm, that is a William The Third Love Token but if you dont mind me saying, i think the date is actually 1697. They didnt make love tokens of William the third until that time. I believe the coin you found was a 1697 William III Full Silver Crown proof: www.historyincoins.com/A-1-7-15-6.jpg
