It would be harder to find someone who believes in no police protection, Anarchy, total individual freedom, occasionally having to fight someone with your own hands with no Police to fall back on, Industrialism, National Pride. It is like the extreme right and left had a child. This game would have been perfectly timed a few years ago. This is what he was talking about in a nut shell.

@@audellaroque4730 gameplay wise perhaps, but the story was utter dogshit. killing off joel by having him make a rookie mistake? having abbie not even ask joel questions after she finally caught him after all this time? abbie continuing to be this shallow husk even when we play her story? ellie sacrificing her friends and her fingers and deciding vengeance just isn't worth it? *THE SEX SCENE THAT LOOKS LIKE 2 MEN HAVING SEX?* i don't think anyone asked for it, but i know who did. the director and his new advisor, anita sarkeesian. who collaborated with him on TLOU2, and who advocates for dumb feminist crap in videogames. and robbed millions off of ladies under the promise she'd remove the princess and hero stereotype off of videogames.
@vicentegongora1178
@vicentegongora1178 2 жыл бұрын
@@aztekenen1 I can't be more agree with you. TLOU was (and still is) a masterpiece with a great history and characters. Then we got TLOU 2 and everything went to the trash. Joel being a rookie is a crime, but I'll talk about that later. Ellie having a romantic adventure with Dina wouldn't have been a problem if it weren't the ONLY development of Ellie. Abby was introduced just to kill Joel and piss off the players, which were forced to play with her through half of the game. The whole zombie thing, which was FUNDAMENTAL in the first game was completely ignored because...randomly...everyone forgot them. Ellie fight with Joel was one of the few good parts of the game, but it was overshadowed by his, again, stupid death and the poor story. Another thing that I can't stand is: We have Abby, a girl who killed your paternal figure RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, followed by a game who's fully based on revenge, and, when she finally has the chance to avenge Joel, she thinks: Nah, it not a big deal, and let her escape....LET...HER...ESCAPE.....WHAT?!!!. Seriously, I think not a single soul in this world is happy with that ending, considering Abby won a reason to life, and Ellie lost his friends, his girlfriend and her biggest fear became real. And if someone wants to say: "That's the price of vengeance"...yeah....sure buddy....It would be, if it had been applied to Abby as well. SHE KILLED THE GAME. ABBY I HATE YOU WITH EVERY CELL OF MY BODY. (If someone really takes their time to read this...kind of vent full of hatred towards Abby and this awful story, thank you, I'm not the only one suffering)

Senator Armstrong is actually a really good villain, and if he actually gotten through to Raiden, then would've been a REALLY powerful villain. His world seems to be the most impactful one if he follows through with the idea. We would see a huge power change. It is more terrifying that he actually is right nowadays. He is right about the current America, surprisingly. Another scary thing is that he used the very protagonist he is fighting against as a perfect example of his ideology. Raiden said he doesn't know what it's like to do all the things he been through, but he basically said "it doesn't matter, because you are the main example of it."

What's even crazier is that Armstrong only appears in very last hour or so of the game and raiden and player doesn't even know who he is, and this is right after you beat jetstream sam who the game hyped up as raidens rival the whole game but still armstrong manages to be an amazing foil to raidens character and so memorable unlike the previous metal gear games that always stuck with a main final villain from start

Hello to everyone who thinks Senator Armstrong's plan is a good idea. I feel I need to remind you: When he says "the strongest will survive", he isn't referring to you, the person playing the game. You're a squishy bag of meat like the rest of us, and if you refuse to subjugate yourself to more powerful people in the anarchy that follows, you will go into shock and bleed out the first time you take a bullet, and if you somehow don't, then resulting infection will get you eventually.

Now, for those who don’t quite understand Armstrong and his ideology, let me explain. Armstrong wishes to end war as a business and create a Social Darwinist utopia, where all the citizens of America fight their own battles and the strong survive while the weak perish. From a certain point of view, his arguments actually do make sense, and considering America, and by extension the world, were until recently controlled by the whims of the Patriot AI, it’s not hard to see where he’s coming from. For what it’s worth, he very much despises the Patriots; in fact, Armstrong is ideologically quite similar to fellow Patriot-hating politician George Sears, AKA Solidus Snake, who coincidentally Raiden also fought. Hell, much like Solidus, Armstrong also has some connection to the creation of child soldiers. Of course, it needs to be noted that while Armstrong definitely makes a good case, he is also a bonafide anti-villain. For those who need clarification, TVTropes describes an anti-villain as “a character with heroic goals, personality traits, and/or virtues who is ultimately villainous. Their desired ends are mostly good, but their means of getting there are evil. Alternatively, their desired ends are evil, but on a personal level they are far more ethical or moral than most villains and they thus use fairly benign means to achieve it, and can be heroic on occasion. They could also be someone or something whose desired ends or means are not necessarily ‘evil’ at all, but their actions simply conflict with that of whoever seems to be the protagonist.” While he does have good intentions and seems to genuinely want to better his country, the fact he resorts to terrorist actions, child soldiers, and ridiculous levels of violence makes him clearly the bad guy. In the end, good intentions just don’t justify bad methods.

What’s interesting is that The way he phrased it at the starting half wasn’t that bad, it wasn’t evil but it was essentially him wanting to do a hard reset of the US Government because it’s so big and controlling and corrupt. I fee like they had to put the whole “Let the strong kill the weak” thing in because without it’d seem as if we were the ones in favor of US Authoritarianism.
@Blueberry_Koi

@@Bizmarckus "us government is big and controlling and bad, the status quo is corrupt, so let hand the power to private establishment instead." Is the stupidest shit ever, hard reset my ass, the language of "giving it back to the people, carve your own path" is essentially only an excuse Armstrong use to justify privatized power, if you think that is not that bad you got a problem buddy
@Bizmarckus
@Bizmarckus 2 жыл бұрын
@@Blueberry_Koi Armstrong seems to have conflicting beliefs so we won’t really know which one he would’ve moved for. He went from an Anarcho-Capitalist or decentralized Republican (not GOP) to an Oligarch within a few sentences. His previous sentences against the government is something I support, maybe not necessarily completely rebuilding the US but a government with tonnes of power isn’t really a good thing. Another important thing is that you can have an even power divide between government and (private) Companies, you can have government regulations and not have them be overstepping private boundaries.
@Blueberry_Koi
@Blueberry_Koi 2 жыл бұрын
@@Bizmarckus here's what I read differently from you, imagine the average person, under the current capitalist system, because often capital translates into power and v versa, there is literally no different whether the government has power or private companies have Powe or they "share" the power, ultimately no matter how you shape it, you are still under a herichy, anarcho-capitalism is just herichy oriented around capital freedom(with near no moral concerns), literally the same as government corruption in the failed state of democracy, is just this one is herichy orientated in political pulling and capital. So whether or not if they can "share the power" or "not over stepping bondrius" doesn't matter, the problem is their existence itself
@Bizmarckus
@Bizmarckus 2 жыл бұрын
@@Blueberry_Koi I wanna start off by saying I’m a tad sick/nauseated, I apologize if I don’t make much sense. Their is a difference, it’s economic, if the government has more control, they’ll more than likely consolidate the companies into state controlled industry which leads to problems that we see in nations that commit to it, India had a absolute horrible economy because their government had near total control over businesses, leading to lesser quality products being created and less chances other nations will purchase them, just because money flows in the nation doesn’t make it economically viable. Capitalism is more so intellect = Strength/power, because it meant that people who studied hard could invent something to improve life or work creating intellectual property that could be sold (essentially an NFT but more real than virtual) today (idk where you’re at) it’s the richest person has power, which is Corporatism (this is the USA I am speaking about). The difference between the government controlled industry is they’re more than likely to just straight up take your property to produce it, where that can happen if we gave the private corporations too much power because (it would be corporatist meaning the government is essentially a slave to the companies) which allows them to steal it through corruption. A balance could prevent it as government regulations that don’t pass the line means they only have the power to deal with lawbreakers than stealing stuff, and companies couldn’t be able to pay the government off or any such thing to take your property. I totally agree, Anarchism isn’t Anarchism anymore, the last time we had an Anarchist area was before society formed which was thousands of years ago. Anarchism has a Hierarchy even though their goal is to abolish it, it’s like Communism, Communism was mean’t to be Anarcho-Communism but you can have no government without Capitalism rooting and people having a sense of materialism, that’s how we got to where we are. However, if an Anarchist “nation” is created it can exist for a time before they immediately topple in some way or another, which could create a Dictatorship or a Republic or an Autocracy, so in and so forth. Politics are nearly removed aside from the group of people that are out in power (Anarcho-Capitalism would mean it’s the businesses), it’s less political pulling and more standard bribery in an Anarchist nation. Anarcho-Capitalism shares similarities with Corporatism to some extent. Essentially, if Armstrong wanted to create an Anarchist society it would collapse in maybe 10 years and could possibly create a dictatorship, which it could’ve been his goal in the long term.
