• MGS2 Ghost Run
No Guard interaction whatsoever.
Anything that deviates the guards from their natural patrol routes is disqualified. This includes but isn't limited to:
No tranqs
No CQC
No luring
Anything that makes their radar yellow etc
In this video I leave and renter a stage so that I can reset the guard patrols, which helped.

I'm not sure you could pull this off :p Jokes jokes, yeah its probably even better than a No Traces, I originally called this a Ghost Run, I have seen the term Shadow Run before.

@@ssjgoku78966777 It totally is. I encourage you to participate in conversations with Russians aged about 40 so you can explain this to them - while calling individuals by the pronoun "them". They can be still found on KZfaq. Just make sure you bring lots of popcorn and leave your emotional investment far away from yourself.

Cheers. I am pretty scared about continuing this. After Fortune I have 200 seconds to reach Fatman. But the route is so damn hard to ghost, I might even have to go clockwise if there is enough time..keep an eye out!

I just wonder how can you walk past them with them noticing them behind you with this kinda loud footsteps, I don't remember they being so deaf, Im gonna replay it and also do a ghost run

I remember being scared to come anywhere close to guards because I thought they could hear you running. Now I can't remember if its the same in mgs3 or not

If I recall, the sneaking suits in MGS 1 and 2 are designed to muffle footsteps. The only steps guards hear is if its on a hollow grate, a puddle, (i.e. NOT solid platforms). From a game design standpoint, you want to add sound to register steps for the player, but they don't actually exist. That's why MGS3 has audible footsteps regardless of where you are, because Big Boss is just wearing an Army Issue boot.

@Leoncroi Makes more sense that way, and the guards all have big helmets on that would limit peripheral vision.

Lemme know hoe the ghost run goes. It gets a bit lame after the harrier fight but the Plant chapter is still fun.

Definitely spliced, I am not skilled enough to pull this off in one go. Edit: my final stats are in part 4 at the end, showing how many continues this took.

That bomb depends on difficulty level. It's there on higher difficulties.

Lore accurate was on point for snake but not for raiden hes jack the ripper lore accurate should be just massacre of all guards both stealthy and unstealthy lol

It's feedback like this that keeps me making vids. I am going to wait for Volume 2 of the collection for MGS4 (and maybe PW?) With MGS5 I might try a few levels with total stealth and see if it looks good.
