Oh I know, I have the platinum in all MGS games ( well almost all I haven't played Revengeance ) and I agree about MGS2 although getting the big boss emblem in MGS4 is more than just time consuming it requires key knowledge on enemy A.I, placement, boss weaknesses and of course great use of your non lethal arsenal(which means skill)

The guy following Snake in Act 3 is actually some dwarf geckos, standing on top of each other in disguise. I think they appear in a cutscene later on.

One thing that goes under appreciated in Adam’s videos is his ability for contextual storytelling. Even as somebody who has never played MGS4, I can immediately get a grasp on everything happening in each scene thanks to Adam’s ability to fill in the blanks with his script writing. Amazing work!

Wow. I genuinely felt the absolute deflation after the first playthrough, then the rise in energy with the relief of not having to sit through all the cutscenes; *chef's kiss* Then the way you convey the momentum building as you start really knocking out the emblems Watching you slowly get sick of the grind H O G. The absolute catharsis in closing Absolutely beautiful. 10/10. Glad I could experience this vicariously.

When I first played the game they hadn't even come out with trophies for it yet so this was all news to me and it looked absolutely gruelling mate, hats off to you! I'm not sure if it was mentioned in the video but MGS4 was released prior to trophies / achievements being a thing on the PS3 and were added 4 years after MGS4 released. Could explain why the platinum requirements on this one is so high, given that the only people still playing it were the hardcore fans.

I didn't mention it. Thought folks knew about it getting trophy support after release. MGS2 trophy list is also tough. MGS3 is handy. Kind of all over the place.

This was the first platinum journey I ever watched, as well as my favorite. Mgs4 is one of my favorite games of all time, and you did it such justice. Truly a special episode, and the outro with the song was an amazing tribute to snake and the metal gear saga.

One of my favorite things about the MGS series has always been the replay value of the games. I still have a memory card in the attic somewhere with all Sons of Liberty dog tags on each level of difficulty. MGS4 is easily my favorite game of the series. So many subtleties and attention to detail that has always left me disappointed when playing other games. Amazing work! New sub!

Wow! Soo happy the algorithm recommended your channel. I've always put trying to platinum MGS4 considering how tough it looks. Now I need to watch your MGS2 and 3 seires....heck all of these videos! This is a great series!

Congratulations Adam I knew you could do it, a great platinum to have in your collection. I myself have just got the platinum for Dead Space 2 having been in my backlog for 11 years. Your videos are motivating and encourage me a lot when trophy hunting. I am definitely going to attempt the Metal Gear Solid 4 platinum someday. Keep up the great work.

Just stumbled across this video in my recommended as I look to watch something during work. Man this is so entertaining, great job! Can't wait to go and watch your other playthroughs of games I love, I already see you've done MGS2 as well so I'm excited to watch that next. Gotta say that the first 10 mins or so were absolutely hilarious, the way you said 'Folks...I am so nervous about this chicken emblem.' floored me hahahaha, then followed by 'oh what?? I don't care!' in that Irish accent lol. All the best for the other games you tackle!

Thank you for such kind words. Yeah, I'm an average gamer skill-wise, if I can platinum a game, anyone can. Will take a bit of perseverance but you'll be okay. Death Stranding is on the list of potential episodes. Fascinating game.

I’ve never been into the MGS series, but you put out great videos about them and I can tell they put up a real challenge. Good job dude. Also, that moment at 44:07 when you say what your strategy is reminds me of the famous “crab battle” a hilarious video from the early days of KZfaq.

I saw this video some time ago and finally got the platinum for it today. It was definitely no joke but seeing your video helped give me the stamina needed to plow through these 8 (in my case, 9) runs. Cheers 🍻

The mgs Saga is my favourite one, and this video did bring back some memories i forgot i had. I didnt got the platinum trophy, and probably will never try it, but seeing you doing it, made me feel that i can achieve this trophy too. Great video, great game, and this last minutes of the video and the Goodbye to snake and ps3 sure made me fell nostalgic. Oh great times when I had the time to play it. Congrats man, you achieved what every MGS fan wants!

Well done! I’m right in the middle of this challenge too (4 runs in). The Boss Extreme is really tough, but feels so good when you do it. You can find out your stats at any time by checking past meeting briefings to pin point which save you need to go back to if you make a mistake
