Anyone else think it's really cool that players actually managed to unlock this ending the real way? This is exactly what so many people need to hear in 2020. Our governments may be corrupt, but us people need to band together. Happy new years, everyone. Thank you, Kojima. You woke me up to a lot of things in this world. Wow, honestly one of the most brilliant secret ending. The players actually have to agree to disarm, all of them. Since this is almost impossible, it shows how difficult it will be in real life with even greater stakes.

It was a glitch, but a nice one. The trigger condition for this ending is the complete absence of nuclear weapons from all players, and for obvious reasons, this condition has never been and never will be met.

kaka cech all nuclear weapons on the regional server corresponding to the player's console or platform must be dismantled, with the total number of nukes on the server equal to zero.

Never achieved this ending, but that would be something to live in a actual world without nukes. Though to be honest it seems like these days (especially these days) does not seem possible, we are passed the point of countries and nations considering this at all these days it looks more and more like we are going to experience the actual horrors of nukes and nuclear war.

Haha Funny Le Epic Meme This scene was leaked years ago. The only new thing about it is the addition of the names. People are only going on about this because the official goal has been reached.

The cutscene was triggered due to a software error so everyone on the PC version saw it, not just from the leaks. The amount of nukes right before the event was 2,147,483,647. This is the maximum value a 32 bit integer can hold in code before looping back to 0 like an odometer. When one more was added, the game thought it had reached 0 and incorrectly triggered it. Kinda funny how the cutscene for nuclear peace was triggered by having such a high number of nukes the game broke.
