Love the educational approach. IMHO this would be a great chance to teach key words. Like simply putting "metal grabber = magnet" on screen. The key at the end is nice, but for teaching it would help early learners to see a few choice words just as they are shown in the vid.

come on, there's no way "grabber" is more common than "magnet", or "cutter" more common than "knife". you found "grab" and "cut" on the list, but those are not the same words. a noun made of a verb plus -er is not the same word as the verb.

Theres a conlang call toki pona with only ~130 words, and the way you're convaying things here is very simmaler. eg. len luka = hand cover = glove. for magnet i'd probably say "ilo li kama e kiwen pi nasin pona tawa ona" (the tool brings rock-like-things of the right type to it) to start with and then refer to it as "ilo pi kama kiwen" (tool of rock-like-thing bringing) from then on

can the chunk of metal pull the animal closer or does it always push it away no matter which is facing the animal?

It's called negative and positive force
@rainbowloom10012 ай бұрын

@I.no.ah.guy57Ай бұрын
He said that there's always a pushing force from a magnet, and the pulling force side attracts ferrous/magnetized material greater than the pushing force can. But that non-ferrous materials/things(and living beings) aren't attracted, therefore everything that's non-ferrous will only be affected by the pushing force and will get pushed away as a result. So no, it can only be used to push an animal....unless the animal has a high enough percentage of metals in/on its body, relative to its mass, it would then be able to feel the pulling force and be attracted to a magnet
