What's Your New Years Resolution?

This was THE event of 2022. There have been a million words written in praise of this song. The new Album is already my favourite. That’s my deliberate wordplay. I know that Lovebites bided their time, used it wisely and, in choosing Fami, made the most momentous and courageous decision that the four who remained could have made. Listen to the quadruple solo and what Fami does, solo by solo, behind each individual one. Everything about this song is absolutely perfect. I’m really cheered up at the end of my U.K. rainy day by seeing one of my favourite Lovebites fans smiling so much as the full extent of the song melted his face down to bare bone. Next task, play this and “The Spirit Lives On” back to back, as they are on the album. The technical prowess from every musician is off the fucking charts in the new song released today.

Had a Great New Year. My Resolution this year is to replace my aging and 'action getting too high' classical guitar. Now I'm gonna sit back and watch you Freak Out watching this song :o)

I was looking forward to your reaction to this song. I love it when you look speechless. This had a darker heavier tone, and Fami just adds an entirely new layer to their music with her bass lines. I think this song still holds the same formula for Lovebites. This sound is just different. All of them seemed to have come out of hiatus better than they were before. Awesome music video. This song exceeded my expectations, and my expectations were very high to begin with. This is a top tiered song for me period.

Lovebites is back, and are taking it up a couple notches.. Famis bass runs, chording,and fills, really balances the music, especially when the guitar Queens M&M are soloing, Haruna and Fami make sure the rhythm section stays full and tight...

Lovebites used the hiatus pretty well. Practiced a LOT. Wrote crazy music. Found an amazing new band-member. Even had a couple of babies. I have no clue how they do it but it's wonderful. Thanks for starting your reaction year with them!

I read somewhere that Miyako did promo bass lines after she wrote music for all new songs and record guitar. After Fami came to the band, she re recoreded her parts. Thats why Miyako is my favorite-she does music, guitar, piano and keyboard, even bass if necessary. Such a genius musician

Another awesome reaction buddy, they released a new song last night I got it on my Itunes since I re-ordered the Judgement Day album and already heard it at least 20 times, and it is another banger from Lovebites "The Spirit lives On" it's like a Jet airliner taking off being pulled by a freight train with Haruna's drumming and Fami's bass line it's like bombastic plastic ready to blow up on your face. Dude, thank you for saying that Lovebites has so many great songs! Yeah, this was a killer song just like ALL the rest of ALL of their discography yet ALL at the same level of excellence and explosiveness.

This song is everything I wanted from the new era of LOVEBITES. I wanted Fami (who took that name from a Japanese store called FamilyMart) to be prominent and I got it. I don't know if this is an entirely new side of LOVEBITES as the song is in the same style as "Shadowmaker," "Addicted," and "Glory to the World," but there's definitely a new facet here and it's not just because of Fami. As sad as it was for Miho to leave the band (and I will _always_ love and support Miho), I think the time off did the four remaining ladies some good. Fami has talked about how she was wondering about her future as a bass guitarist and then heard about the bassist auditions, so joining the band definitely did her some good. There's a vitality and energy here that I haven't really seen since their first live release, "Battle in the East." Can't wait for the full album. As for 2023, I'm going to do everything I can to make it a great year. 2022 had a lot of highs and lows, more extremes than 2021 for sure, so I'll be happy if things are a bit smoother this year. Happy new year to you, and I hope you are doing well and continue to do well.

To be honest I wasn't blown away by Judgement Day at first. But it quickly started to grow on me and now I love it to bits. I think I needed a couple of listens to start to pick up on the different "layers". It might also explain why I love the live recordings so much as seeing them play it focuses my hearing so I can then fully appreciate the different "layers". I will probably appreciate The Spirit Lives On a lot more in a couple of days time for the same reason.

Fami is such a great match. Sounds like the audio engineers have brought the presence of the base a bit further forward in the mix. I wonder who's idea that was. I would say, not Fami's. But she sounds so cool. Check out her channel, & you will see why she got the job though.
