Musically they are at a crazy high level. There just aren't any bands that sound like they sound. Tatiana gets all the recognition a lot of times but damn, Roman, Eugene, and Vlad are at the top of their fucking game right now.

@@samarnold1839 oh piss off, she's a next level vocalist who brings a ton of vocal diversity and depth to the band. She's a wonderful fit and plays her role great. And before you call me a simp I'd say the same thing no matter who their singer was if they brought such a performance to the table, the fact that she's beautiful to look at is just a cherry on top.

One of my fave parts of this band outside of the music is just how bloody feminine Tatiana is. She doesn't sacrifice her girliness in the slightest and has absolute class the entire time

She used to be the total opposite. Very tomboyish. I like that she chooses to be very feminine in what is predominantly a masculine role.

I love how Jinjer didn't sounds like most core band in the genre. It's like it has more that classic thrash, death metal vibe than the core itself

It's because most of their influences are not Core: Opeth, Gojira, Meshuggah, Sepultura, Lamb of God.

Why haven't any reactioners commented on the camera zoom in zoom out of Tati's esophagus between STOP an GO. It's fuckin sick. Dude I watched this this morning in the parking lot of a Fred Meyer. This is fucking heavy and sick as fuck. Reminds me of scene in the Matrix of Neo when they lock on to his locater signal. Coincidence?

That band, though…Musically they are so tight and so incredibly talented, and then we have Tati flipping back and forth easily between groovy cleans and guttural screams. Literally the heaviest and best I’ve ever heard them!!! 🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥

@@ChrisLane87 Hard disagree from me. All of Jinjer's songs sound the same and her clean vocals just don't fit, at least not in this song.. They all have talent and they're groovy, just something about Jinjer that I don't like.

Spiritbox has too much of a "wall of sound" effect in my opinion. I find it hard to hear defined notes and chords. I don't particularly like Courtney's vocals either. She's got a ethereal timbre to her cleans which I'm not into. She's not bad, I just don't find it impressive or inspiring. They have a very "electronica" sound which I find boring. I know people like to mesh Spiritbox and Jinjer together b/c they both have female leads, but Jinjer shits all over them in my opinion.

I LOVE Arch Enemy up through Khaos Legions, I liked War Eternal a lot, and then a lot of the last one kind of missed me. That being said, I think Alissa sounds awesome on the old songs, even if I do have a slight bias for Angela

@@StuTheMoose Well, if you haven't checked Termina yet, that's Nik's band with Andy Cizeck (hope I didn't butcher that last name!). Their album Dysphoria is in contention for my albums of the year list, and that's coming from someone who isn't very into metalcore. Amazing stuff

AMAZING. FIRST OF ALL I MET THEM a few months back at the NYC show and I can't even EXPLAIN how nice each and every one of them were! It makes it SO MUCH easier to love them EVEN more now. I can't even deal with anyone that doesn't love this band. Like GO AWAY if you don't. seriously... PS- If it was even possible for Tatiana to be anymore beautiful? Well she was in person.

This is some of the highest concentration of talent in any band I feel. Up there with Periphery and Spiritbox. And the bass... drummer and guitarist (and obv. singer, that's a given) are crazy intense but the bass is so crushing and intense

Great review man! Searched your videos hoping to see a review/reaction to I Speak Astronomy but no luck. Jinjer are pretty much always awesome.... but its my favorite of theirs. Also great to hear realworld identification of scales/theory/techniques on the fly.

It took me a while to realize this, but the entire first half of the song when the first verse kicks in, especially Tati's clean vocal melodies, reminds me a lot of Protest The Hero.

Same, actually. Vortex has clearer structure, is more balanced and doesn't try too hard to be proggy. It has the "waviness" to it, interchanging intensity with calmer sections thus keeping the attention of the listener. Mediator kinda tries to do too much in one song, so everything blends togetherwith nothing really shining through. IMO, of course.

@@YuryVVV Vortex has a nice groove and doesn't really repeat itself (which is refreshing). Mediator is a bit of a riff salad. I prefer the production on the new tracks compared to Macro (Tati's vox were a bit "burpy" in Macro, much better in this though). Micro is still my fav by Jinjer, with a few odd tracks from King of Everything and Macro.

Roman would be the lead in any other band. Here though, he's the number four guy in the band. Think about that, his chunky riffs are overshadowed by the drums, the bass . . . and the vocals . . . and not because he's bad, but rather because they are just that good.

The beginning of this is a cast iron skillet swung thru yer face! LOL \m/ (-_-) \m/ Clever of them imho, to contrast the smooth groove start of Vortex, giving this as the other single leading into the album release, to show the range of what they're up to these days. Cannot wait for this album. :)
