yeah thats one thing the old albums didnt always get right understandably everything is mixed very good nothing too sharp sounding even when theyre riffing hard it feels like butter in the ears from the bass and it feels new theyve come a long way forsure

Idk man, I'm quite a fan of WSS but the closest they've been to "innovation" is Brainwashed. This song however is 100% better than anything on "SO WHAT" (which was very mediocre to me)

I have mad respect for WSS working to not just stay independent but also creating a collective music group. I love this band and don't mind supporting them on patreon especially since I have extra income not going to shows. I hope they can make this a success and pull in some other bands under the umbrella. I want to see a festival or annual tour come from this.

Hey u got any suggestions for other bands like wss? I listen to architects, bmth, the devil wears Prada and others but want to listen to a new band. Any bands that sound like them or are just really good bands with a mix of screaming and singing 😂 😂 that’s what I’m into!!

yep they like the progressive kinda journey songs you dont neccesarily know how its gonna go and play with your expectations and deliver sean will just be doing a new riffs for every section of a song sometimes lol thats one of the things that makes them stand out from other bands that do some of the stuff they do as well as genre blending and original riffs and breakdown ideas.

I’m just saying, Northlane really opened the floodgates to metal fused with cyberpunk influences with Alien, even if there were earlier instances, that album really made it pop off and explode in genre wide influence. Only can hope to see them play live in person with it

i feel like crystal lake and while she sleeps were the bands that werent known for when they started, then just flawlessly seemed to this older generation of metalcore. i was trying to buy a copy of this is the six at warped tour and they had run out. main vocalist was a really cool dude.

If you listen to The Downbeats podcast, Craig talks to Mat about the whole project and they start by talking about the synths in this song. They just sprung and bought a few synths and started screwing around with them. Combined with the killer guitar work and everything else, they’re going in on this album. Gonna change the game.
