I’m so glad you liked him! He won Swedish Idol in 2009 and his audition is great! In 2021 he was diagnosed with leukemia, but he still joined Skid Row in 2022. He just stepped back from Skid Row to continue his medical treatment. I wish him the best!

He is our other Swedish national rock treasure, beside Tommy Johansson. Them two recently did a cover of Sabaton Carolus Rex together anf we are promised more from that duo. As both of them have left their bands, Sabaton respektive Skid Row I feel we'll see awesome music from them.

Erik did a fantastic job with this cover, he managed to bring in emotion of Dolly's original and keep the power of Whitney's version. He did a fantastic cover of Sabaton's Carolus Rex together with Sabaton's ex guitarist Tommy Johansson, I highly recommend checking it out. Tommy left Sabaton to concentrate on his own music and with his band Majestica. He also does a ton of solo work on his YT channel, uploading a new song almost every Friday. Erik won Swedish Idol in 2009 where he auditioned with Skid Row's 18 & Life (it'll be relevant later) and won with original song Higher. After winning the Idol he released two solo albums. In 2010 he joined Swedish rock band H.e.a.t where he replaced their original singer and performed on Adress the Nation (2012), Tearing Down The Walls (2014), Into the Great Unknown (2017) and H.e.a.t II (2020). Worth mentioning is that in 2018 he played Simon Zealotes in Jesus Christ Superstar. In 2020 he left the band to focus on other stuff. He joined his buddy & former bandmate Jona Tee, keyboardist in H.e.a.t, in New Horizon. In 2021, he was diagnosed with leukemia. During the treatments he started his KZfaq channel because he promised to himself if he gets out of the hospital alive he'll sing for the rest of his life. He won the battle with that shit and he sings until this day. New Horizon released a debut album Gate of Gods in 2022 and on the same year, only couple of months after his treatment, he joined Skid Row as their new singer. And Skid Row was and is one of his favorite bands. He released an album with them called The Gang's All Here and played a lot of shows with them. All the while he kept releasing covers with many awesome badass musicians. In 2023, he released Eriksplanations Vol. 1 vinyl with some of his covers released until then. As for 2024 - his busy schedule made him unable to record new New Horizon so Jona teamed up with Nils Molin to bring it to life and Erik left the band. He also left Skid Row in March because he wasn't able to balance his full recovery and being in Skid Row. There's his sentence that stuck with me - "Always remember that no job, no money, no fame is worth your health and well-being. Health first. Always." He has autobiography on the way in September (only in Swedish, for now) called Power. Beside music, he enjoys martial arts & books. Covers: Painkiller, Headless Cross, Run To The Hills, Hallowed Be Thy Name, The Trooper, 18&Life, Rainbow In The Dark, Shattered, Chop Suey, Man In The Box, Child In Time (acoustic), Alone feat. Chez Kane, Seperate Ways, Faithfully, Livin' On A Prayer, Always, To Be With You (acoustic), Listen To Your Heart (acoustic), Eagle Fly Free, Chandelier, Without You, Love Gun, Kickstart My Heart, Still Of The Night, Highway Star, Carolus Rex, Dream On... Erik has all the time, from that he jumped off at a singer in H.e.a.t, played with Jona Tee, the keyboard player, on lots of other works together. Look for “New Horizon”, a band Erik and Jona started together before Erik got leukemia. I think they have played all covers together and some new songs from “New Horizon” maybe coming up. If you like rock, I'm suggesting you checking out LizNoir which is a group in an idol anime or game or something :v They were actually voiced by a real idol group named Sphere from Japan. LizNoir songs are very catchy but it's from a game so people don't really know them. You should check out some of their songs like Giri giri borderless world (highly recommend), Shock out dance, Darkness sympathizer, The last chance.
