Enjoyed your travel-log to Istanbul-Dimash concert that was quite the trip. Next concert you need to see is G.E.M. She started a concert tour last December and is "blowing it out of the water". Averaging 40-50K per scene and setting records of continuous days performing. End of April did 7 in 10 days and just finished 5 days in Shanghai for 8 concerts in 11 days. These are 2.5 hour shows by herself!! Here is a taste of what you will experience........"The most complete! A video will let you immerse yourself in G.E.M. 2:10 the song is NOT in her local dialect, GEM is from Hong Kong,and we speak Cantonese here, her earlier songs are in Cantonese, while this song is in mandarin (standard Chinese) several years ago, when pro democracy protests broke out in HK, she sided against the protestors and thus turned her hometown against her from one of HK’s most loved to one of most hated in a month. It was speculated that she did so for $, as the mainland China market is larger than the HK market, nowadays she has completely left HK behind, and I haven’t heard of her for quite a few years in HK news

Well, you win some and loose some. She has lost some who are opposed to people with different political views but a lot of young Chinese started to know Christ because of her. That's why her albums and concerts are full of Christian messages.

I beg to differ. As a Hong Kong citizen I can tell you that the so called "pro democracy" protestors in 2019 is actually a violent mod who beat-up anybody and burn down any business they see who do not agree with their political agenda. GEM sided with all reasonable law-abiding citizens like myself and is still insanely popular here

Nonsense. It’s not that Gem has left Hongkong behind, but the economy has left Hongkong behind. Hk simply does not have that cultural influence any more, why would anyone limit oneself in a tiny little exclusive area when he/she has more competence for greater influence and achievements? Besides Hongkong never cherished any able talent if one don’t play along rules made by the giant entertainment companies. The HK music industry deserves what u end up today
