Love the reaction! The scream on 4:25 always gets me, no matter how many times i listen to this song. She's a beast. All my life i've never heard so much emotion put into music as she does, from the "storytelling" way that she sings some parts to the voice cracks and screams, it really sounds like a plead, like she's desperate. And God that's sooooo good! I would like to recommend for you to listen to shoujikki nikki, her voice shines a lot there because it's only guitars and voice, and the lyrics are beautiful as well.

Dude, I see some people recommending you Minami's songs but no one mention Honest Diary. Is one of her first songs and it's so emotional. For me hef best song by far (even if all her songs are pure art) I hope you can listen It one day

hi, i just had another minami phase again and cycled through all her songs haha. im so glad you're enjoying her brilliance as well! another song of hers with really outstanding emotion as well as instrumental composition is "eternal blue", you should check it out! it has one of my favorite drops in any song haha. edit: i'm dumb, should've checked before, of course it was already covered!

Another musician I'd recommend is Mafumafu. I think his song Sore Wo Ai to Yobudake has a nice balance between calm and powerful buildup towards the end. Additionally, his cover of Hated by Life Itself is really popular and uses different vocal effects to show a lot of emotion befitting the lyrics.

I'd like to recommend to you to check out a very famous Japanese rock band called "ONE OK ROCK" if you have not yet. They are well known for songs for the Rurouni Kenshin movies: The Beginning, Heartache, and Clock Strikes to a name a few. But aside from that all their songs are very good!

I know them, but only from Linking Park, the singer did Somewhere I belong at Chester's funeral show. But I def wanna check out more of their music! Big fan of Liar
