This is such an emotional listen. It can flow with such beauty, and soar with absolute horror at times, just like the ocean. Even without understanding the lyrics, you can feel everything. Art like this goes beyond, and touches you in the purest form. What a beautiful record.

My children live with their mother in a neighborhood in Reykjavík named "Árbær" (means rivertown). "Ríkin" means "the kingdoms" or "the states" in Icelandic. Glæman in Icelandic is "Glíman". Gods hand is strong in Icelandic is "Guðs hönd er sterk"... we speak the same langue nearly and would understand each other if we got used to the different pronunciation.

I'm Norwegian. Listening to the track: "Men Guðs hond er sterk" is like listening to an old Norwegian man speaking. It's like a dream where everything just sounds perfectly norwegian, but I can't understand most of the words! I understand the title, it's almost identical with "men Guds hånd er sterk" in Norwegian. I'm happy you "islanders" managed to preserve how we once spoke.

Me and my band are visiting Reykjavík for a week in the end of may (just for vacation). Really looking foreward for iceland! This album gives really deep vibes for a slow hike.

True, but Guðs hond er sterk is very "basic/core North Germanic" and would be nearly the same in the Scandinavian languages. It is "Guds hånd er stærk" in Danish.
