I decided to try new forest place. For my newest #metaldetecting trip, I chose a net of old pathways, which was used for hundreds or thousands of years. There is a lot of history behind them - during medieval wars, a lot of refugees got mugged or killed by bandits there. They hoped to get some of that war loot, which was circulating around, but sometimes they attacked innocent poor fellows. The chronicle has a lot to say about it. But what about metal objects? Will I find any traces of these events? I am certain that I will. But first, I will try to detect my old favourite grass field, which I detected 2 or 3 years ago and visited it with my friends from channel Prospektor. Now I have better detector and much more skills, so I hope to finish the job. Then I will continue searching along the medieval pathways. Enjoy the video!
I consult my finds with an archaeologist and hand over the finds for research and documenting. I had only good experience working with the experts in their fields and recommend cooperating with archaeological institutions to every metal detectorist out there.
If you're interested in the gear I use in my videos, you can check the list in the ABOUT section of my channel. I plan on releasing some metal detector testing videos in the future.
Thanks for watching and see you again!
