I lost my dad when I was 9 in 2006, and this song hit me like a train full speed in the heart. I was in tears. Sounds funny but it’s the truth man. I couldn’t stop thinking of the fishing, biking and football games out in the backyard with my dad when I was a child. This song also reminds me of the early 2000s “pop”-punk era, absolutely love the sound. My new favorite song. Rest In Peace, EVH.

My dad has been gone for awhile and I sure wish this song was out during that time. It helps me now though. It’s healing and brings the tears. RIP EVH. Great job, Wolf!

I lost my mom in 2007. That video made me cry through it all. Cancer is the worst to watch someone to die from. I know how he feels inside. I pray for him and his family.

Just such a beautiful song and video. Truly truly touched my heart. Tears running down my face. I and blown away. Really love this song and I am so happy for Wolfe yet deeply sad for him and all his loved ones. Thank you for sharing this. I can't stop crying. 💕💜💕

Yeah that message on the machine is so beautifully sad. I think the only song that has actually brought me to tears in the last few years was the artist NF doing Mansion. I did it on this channel and had to take a break from his music for a while after. So intense and oddly similar to my life.

All I can say is WOW! I didn't know Wolfgang could write and sing so good, looking forward to more of his music because he's definitely got musical talent and on a very high level, his dad was my idol and it means a lot to me for Wolfgang to do this.

That’s so young, I’m so sorry for your loss Scott. My moms cancer has traveled from her lungs to her brain, which isnt great. I’m trying to soak up all the time I can with her.

Gonna put my age out there..55 back in the day as a hs girl we all wanted a eddie van halen look alike and eddie and val seemed to co parent well and was great to know she was there when eddie passed and her tribute on twitter was awesome!

@@davidanderson1976 Yes I must correct myself. I went back to the one interview I thought I heard it in and yes Wolf said it was a single that wouldn't be on the next album. I think I understood him as saying "would be". I admit when I'm wrong, what can I say, hahaha

Lost my dad to a heart attack in 2009 & my mom in 2018 to complications from stage 4 breast cancer. This song brings back the good memories I have of both of them & even though they both drove me nuts at times I still miss both of them.

Sending good vibes. I've lost my parents, my dad around 6 and my mom around 13. It was and will always be hard, but I can't imagine knowing that someone special's time is short and having to deal with that being on the back of your mind constantly. 😔 Btw, I'm 25 and it's been awhile but still painful not experiencing certain things witht them that mean alot to me.

So very sweet. What a beautiful contribute to his father that he obviously loved soooo much .... you can see and hear the pain he is still feeling for the loss... such a strong bond between father/son ... he made a comment that he asked his dad “ what would happen if my music sucks “. He said his dad laughed and said “ impossible “. And Eddie was right , completely impossible. This song is from his heart & how he feels. Very touching seeing the videos and hearing the words. Good job wolf gang , prayers for you to heal each day and you will see your dad again some day ! Bless you ❤️

My dad die three years ago but he had me listen to some good music like Ozzy Osborn, Van Halen and many more when ever I listen to those song I do start to miss him but I know he’s up with heaven with my grandma and he has a few friends from middle and high school up there with him so I know he’s not alone up there. I’ll say a prayer for your mom and for your family.

I lost both my parents by 28. I’m 58 and it’s sucked everyday. So sorry about your mother’s illness. Our younger daughter is 3 days older than Wolfie and took her to see VH when Wolfie was first on tour in high school. Raised all four kids on VH and our oldest son will never let go of his EVH Wolfgang guitar we bought him over 20 years ago. He plays by ear.

I decided the day of EVH's death that I would quit smoking as a way to honor him. Gave myself a month. Was done for good 15 days later. I'm proud that something positive did come from Oct 6th.

My son, Danny committed suicide 9/28/20. I was driving in my car and felt Danny was pushing me to change radio chanel. I was like, ok, Dan! Lol. This was the song he played for me. It's our song now.

I can't possibly be the only one that feels this song is very mediocre and generic...??? I get the sentiment of it and all, but the song itself, if judged on it's own merits, is not good... Sorry... And to be honest, I even question the authenticity of the sentiment itself...
