Mind fuzz dawg. It’s one of their most important albums, like it was the one where they really started getting recognition. Perfect psych rock album, and one of the best ever. First four tracks all go together.

At 8:07 you heard that in the Evilest Man on Omnium! :) My only input on what album to do next is what other's are saying: If/when you do Mind Fuzz, the first 4 songs need to be played together. That sound in the middle with the triplet synth is Evilest Man. That was writing in between this album and butterfly. They didn’t know where to put it so it went into omnium gatherum

If you do mind fuzz the first 4 tracks are a medley and kinda just one song. They did a KEXP session in 2015 where they just played the medley and it would be cool to see an earlier live in studio performance. That sample you say is from the intro of Evilest Man. I'm still voting for finishing Gizztober with Laminated Denim and Changes, but If you go for Paper Maché you should definetively do a studio vs live with the Red Rocks 6/7/23 live, those 2 are soooooo much different If you do Mind Fuzz the first 4 songs are a full suite, so is better to react it together

Gizztober 2022 is the way to go! You alteady did IDLPMaL, only Laminated Denim and Changes left. Be warned that laminated denim goes back and forth from progressive to repetitive (really nice tension, imo), very Neu!/Krautrock-esque.

Go left field and do the Timeland saga (Made in Timeland and Laminated Denim). MIT is some quirky goodness, which is an underrated gem. Almost like if king Gizz made a record based off of “on the run” from Pink Floyd. Go in with an open mind and I’m sure you’ll have a great time.

So in the lore (from my understanding) Cyboogie is supposed to be Boogieman Sam after Han-tyumi kills him and transfers his consciousness to the body of a robot. Pretty fucked but then again boogieman sam was going around killin mfs and eating babies so how much sympathy should we really feel?

in my head cannon this is the first album chronologically(i don't know if thats a common idea). it also nicely sets up the constantly recurring theme of humans trying to make things better by using technology or magic but inadvertently making things way worse instead. Han-tyumi wants to make himself better by becoming a machine but ends up murdering the universe instead. Han-tyumi wants to make the his town safer by controlling Boogieman Sam and learn the secrets of transferring a person to a machine, instead he made Cyboogie. the humans in Infest The Rats Nest want to use a spaceship to escape the horrors of a destroyed earth and end up in literal Hell. On Petro humans attempt to use magic to summon the Gila Monster only for it to turn on them, merge with the technology they wanted the monster to destroy and become Dragon. the wizards in Nonagon want to open a portal to Nonagon Infinity to learn the secret of immortality but instead release a bunch of monsters, fucking up the entire universe thus leading the events of Murder of the Universe where the universe is ended.(and i would guess restarted with the whole story starting over again in an endless cycle.)

I still think you should do gumboot soup next. Great variety of styles and some their best songs. But if your wanting some more silver cord synthesiser style then go for butterfly 3000 which is a much poppier record. I'd u want something completely different by King gizz then do changes which is kind of jazzy/proggish

your next moves gotta be mind fuzz > butterfly 3000. like others have said, first four tracks of mind fuzz are one fluid song (and it's iconic) so that's absolutely gotta be all at once haha. similarly, butterfly 3000 has a couple spots where it would be good to chunk (just for future reference whenever you end up listening): dreams + blue morpho go together ya love + butterfly 3000 are like candles and the funeral, two parts to close out the album

When you listen to the whole b-side of the record (Real's Not Real to the end), This thing is an absolutely perfect song to go between Real and Acarine. Impeccable stuff 🤌🤌🤌 I had my wisdom teeth out when I was 21, I was fucked up the next day. I don't remember pain as much as I remember being messed up from the anesthesia. So obviously it hurt less than the, pardon the expression, Mindfuzz™ and nausea. You'll kill it though, dude! One last scream into the void for Gumboot next! You got poppy stuff, jazzy stuff, folky stuff, heavy stuff, microtonal stuff, and my personal favorite Weird Joey Song™ ever. If you go with the influx of people requesting Mindfuzz, I absolutely agree you gotta do the first 4 tracks together (in the same way doing the first 4 tracks of Nonagon together would've played more smoothly for you). I'm pretty sure there's a KEXP of the whole suite, and I endorse any KEXP video 😂🤝 PS it's pronounced Ack-Uh-Reen. "Akron" is a place in Ohio ;p

Personally i think you should do Butterfly 3000 next. Its their other electronic album and IMO its much better than The Silver Cord. Paper Mache would be great too! Good luck with your surgery as well.👍

I have to agree with others in the comments and say definitely do im in your mind fuzz next. Its a great album. One recommendation i do have is that the first 4 songs go together in a suite and there are plenty of live videos of them all done together. Go back and listen to "Han-Tyumi the Confused Cyborg" from MOTU and listen to the way he pronounces cyborg at the beginning ;) Mind Stu's helmet in the FFF video as well? :D Goddamn I love Cyboogie, it's just fuckin one of those tunes that has to end but shouldn't. From 2019 til the end of time, Cyboogie pls. Re the album after this, it was Rats Nest! IIRC the Planet B single dropped the day this album did. I had sent my bro some stuff off this album and he mentioned a single called Planet B I'd never heard of, I was so confused when I fired it up lmao! My vote for next album is ifwneifnwienfinweifn Mind Fuzz. Some of the other suggestions are cool too but it'll be good to see another direction shift rather than another "softer" album. Edit: Oh and once again, awra best wi the tooth removal mate!
