Avi is from Visalia, California. His maternal grandparents and GG Grandparents.. owned an old western pack station. Riders would come through and rest their horses, and they would feed the riders and the horses and the riders would rest before heading out again. On trips to visit his grandparents there was a little town called Aberdeen. He loved the sound of the word and decided as a child he was going to write a song about it. This is that song he planned as a child. The whistling at the end is Avi,

This video was shot mostly by way of drone by Jimmy Bates, the video genius behind FifGen Films, the company that filmed several PTX videos such as "Daft Punk Medley", "Love Again", "Can't Hold Us", "Radioactive", "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy", "Problem", "I Need Your Love", and "Run To You". Avi says that, while he rode horses a lot in his youth in California, he hadn't been on one in 20 years and of course ended up very sore by the end of the shoot. Ah, the sacrifices one makes for one's art... Aberdeen is a village near where his mother grew up, between the Sierra Nevada and White Mountains, and that's where the official video was filmed. What I like about his music (apart from great lyrics, music and voice) is that he doesn't show off, he doesn't have to because he sounds great high or low. I was really sad when Avi left PTX, but I think he's better off solo. He's an amazing song writer and singer. I think he can go far. Some of my favorites from him are Sweet Adeline and Sweet Adeline pt2, All is Well, First Place I Go, He Don't Love You Right, Full Moon, When I Die, and Chains.

At first I was really sad he left PTX his warm baritone was missing but looking at it now it was obviously the best he could do for himself and I kinda see the song reflecting this. He found his way back to his spiritual, nature loving self. Away from the pop tunes the stress and all. He lives his authentic self now. And yes LONG HAIR FTW!! Great reaction!

I absolutely 💯 love this Original Song by AVI. This is in California. I’m from N. Calif. and my Tribes territories looks like this in certain places. ..I’m Indigenous Native American. This is the farmland of his grandparents near a town by the name "Aberdeen". In his youth Avi rided a lot. He told jokingly: I promised Snip (the horse) a sack of carrots if we could do this recording.
