So, this was 15yo Diana singing in an amazing Russian project "You're Super" for abandoned/disadvantaged children because Diana spent some years in an orphanage when she was 3yo. Diana is a "Dramatic Contralto" Extremely rare, the deepest, darkest, and most powerful contralto voice in female singers. Diana also has an added ability to naturally produce "Polyphonic Overtones", a singing technique in which the vocalist manipulates the resonances of the vocal tract to produce an effect of more than one voice appearing to occur. This can take a LOT of practise to produce, but for Diana it just happens naturally! Diana was born way over in the far eastern side of Russia in Primorsky Territory, northeast of Vladivostok. Her adoptive family moved to Togliatti, in western Russia near the Volga River then after Igor Krutoy (a famous (DIMASH?) composer/producer) gifted Diana an apartment in Moscow she moved there and still lives there! It made it easier for her to study at GITIS International, the largest and oldest theatrical State Institution in Russia from which she has now graduated. For me this is the best voice I have ever heard. I cannot stop listening to her since I first heard her voice and never grow tired of it. She is remarkable and a very down to earth and charming young woman. She is a breath of fresh air on many levels. A true treasure in the performing arts world. Diane I was born to an extremely abusive alcoholic mother who beat her and didn’t feed her and at the age of three she was found discarded on the street in the winter. She ended up in a orphanage unfortunately A loving family adopted her at age 5. Diana was so traumatized that she could not speak properly so they decided to give her singing lessons to see if it would help with her speech which it did but they found a amazing talent And the rest is history. I discovered Diana just late last year, from a KZfaq short. Based on the description I was curious, and clicked. And was blown away by her utterly unique voice. I started checking out all the reactions I could find, plus her live and studio performances. She quickly became my favorite female vocalist. There’s simply no one else who sounds like she does.

Her voicetype is "dramatic contra alto" which is very rare. She has a way of switching on polyphonic overtones, or perhaps undertones, adding an earthy richness to her voice. Cher is one of the other rare women with this voice type. But IMO, Diana here is leagues beyond cher's "talent"

Rechenka and the crow in Russian are some of her best pieces. She had a horrible experience as a baby and was rescue and overcame. She took singing lessons to learn how to speak after her abuse.
