The lyrics come from Finnish folklore Kalevala where bee is a lifegiver that gods send from the heavens, in the story a man dies and is torn to pieces, his mother goes to the "underworld" and river of death called Tuonela, sews him back together and then one of the gods sends a bee to bring him back to life

The song Godforsaken by Insomnium is well worth a listen, very similar sound. Features the wife of Nightwish maestro Tuomas on vocals.

This band is epic also live! Tomi's voice is amazing 🔥 If you ever have a chance to see them live, don't miss out that! I would recommend their song Nighbirds Song. Never seen reaction of that song.

Finnish extreme metal band that started as black metal with elements of grindcore, thrash metal and death metal and hardcore punk. A lot of talent finish musicians have played in the band. What is remarkable, at the turn of the millennium time, 70% of metal concert attendees wore their shirts, 20% wore Nightwish's band shirts, and the rest wore band shirts like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Manowar, etc... Epica is a symphonic metal band, but they are not like Nightwish 😈 they are heavier and have their own distinctive epic sound. Last year they toured with Sabaton.
