I respectfully disagree. As someone who's edited videos for many years now, I can say for a fact that the content you're seeing here requires very little effort at all. That's not to say it's bad content, but it certainly doesn't require hard work. The toughest part would be syncing the "reaction" with the music video itself, which is trivial with the right method(s). As for sticking the music video in the corner... that's something even a complete beginner could do with ease in a program like Sony Vegas.

Hey man, glad someone turned you into Metallica, been a fan for a long time. I’ve seen them a few times, long shows, real crazy guitar/drum solos, lots of medleys where the pull different parts of songs and smash them together. Not all their music is a great as the ones you watched so far. If you want to listen to a newer song that I think is real good try “the day that never comes” pretty solid song, and I really liked the video they made for it. Nice vids! Keep it up! Also just thought of this: You mentioned a few times that you could just listen to the instrumental parts, Metallica’s first few albums have some instrumental only tracks, my Favorite is “Orion” off the Master of Puppets albums.

Just a comment; in the 80's, those of us into music had a habit of getting the largest woofers/most powerful systems that we could financially make happen; these songs back then were hitting you with bass that could make your clothes flutter and occasionally break a window (I had a car with a cracked windshield because of this in the early 90's)… These songs hit a lot harder when they weren't just in the headphones; they would LITERALLY POUND ON YOUR BODY... You are listing to these now, with headphones or on your PC; but you aren't getting the experience we had then unless you hit your local stereo store and get some giant speakers. I know I spent a stupid amount of money back then so that my bass would literally move things in the room. The early grunge days got a lot of benefit from this too; imaging STP and Alice in Chains over that kind of sound system; this was why the early 90's was what it was...Not talking a subwoofer and small things to make the rest of the sound; speaking of giant, powerful, more that 12 inch bass speakers; usually mounted on a wall, with the largest amp the person could afford. I remember a friend who had a mobile home in the boonies, who basically turned his place into a giant speaker box. If you really want to get how it felt then; get yourself a big system and pound it. You aren't getting the experience we had back then over headphones, no matter how good they are, it isn't the same as the physical pounding we got back then.

Some of you guys gotta chill out a little bit with the songs you're suggesting. Not that any of the songs being suggested are bad, but they ain't really the ones to react to this early. Being 4 songs in, the dude is 4 songs in, you can't really be suggesting some of these songs from Kill 'Em All or some of these other one-off songs. I notice fans have a tendency to immediately their favorite songs right off the bat because since they like the songs, the person reacting to them will like them also. What you need to realize is that for someone who's new to Metallica and new to Metal in general, some of those songs are not ideal to react to. Believe me. I've been there. As a hip-hop fan who started listening to Metallica (and then from their more Metal in general), some of that shit was a chore to listen to. It took me a couple years to finally start liking songs like Four Horsemen. And I'm not even saying he wouldn't like those songs, maybe he would, you never know. But still, it's still a little early for songs like those. They are something you gotta ease into. Some of the suggestions I'm seeing that make much more sense are songs like Sad But True, For Whom The Bell Tolls, possibly Creeping Death as well. The people suggesting songs are a lot more practical. Me personally, I'd say a couple of those too. Maybe Sad But True, maybe For Whom The Bell Tolls. I did suggest Welcome Home (Sanitarium) since it kinda fits in with the songs he already reacted to a little bit more. As well as maybe a song like Wherever I May Roam. Or The Unforgiven, or Nothing Else Matters if he doesn't mind the much, much softer vibe. You know, songs that are safe picks. Or Blackened, which isn't exactly a safe pick but more of like a "make or break" song that you kinda take a chance on.

about 90% of people arent going to read that. itd be almost better to start from Kill Em All up until Hardwired to see the development and growth of the bad. with that being said, there is no right order to react go any song metallica has.
@2682shark6 жыл бұрын
I agree.. for a first time listener, you cant put them on the hardest songs they made .. lol.. .. stay on the ballads/instrumentals first... highly recommend Welcome Home (Sanitarium) and To Live is To Die... 2 amazing pieces of work
@mzaentertainment56186 жыл бұрын
Agree, for a new listener, they will easily like fade to black, One, Master Of puppets. To suggest a fast and heavy song is not ideal. They have to take it step by step. I like to suggest mix melody of slow and heavy like Welcome Home Sanitarium, To Live is to Die, Orion, Call of Ktulu, For whom thr bell toll.

Just started checking you out, here's some back story on Metallica... The reason their early songs up until their Black album were like 5-7 minutes and have long intros was so they WOULDN'T get radio play. Their thinking was people could record their music off the radio and they wanted people to buy their albums. They pulled them selves from clubs to legend on basically no radio play, just word of mouth and made their money off album sales, shirts, and ticket sales. When they made their first video "One" their fans were so pist calling them sell outs to MTV they actually were spit on by them. Now for what ever their reason making people buy their music be it greed or just didn't want to give their art away, we were treated to some of the best Metal ever put out. They are the high water mark for that genre. I look at their music like works of art. If you recall, they were the ones that made the big fuss about not being on nabster when that music sharing site came out. As far as songs go, I would like to see you react to Sanitarium (Welcome Home) - Creeping Death - For Whom the Bell Tolls - Disposable Heroes - Orion (instrumental) - Seek & Destroy (Raw Metallica) - The Unforgiven . Can't go wrong with any of those. Side note, Dave Mustane Megadeth front man was kicked out of Metallica after their second album. Peace

KTF, straight quality reactions man, real stuff! Back in the day Metallica established a foundation that time and genre tried to come against and "IN THE END" they did more to set Metallica apart from the variety of others and to this day they are defining/redefining relevance. In honesty, there are those who think their older stuff will never be out done by their newer material and visa versa, like the newer stuff or not, the fact that they still bringing it, is saying something. I have commented on another video about watching BATTERY, this is a straight sledgehammer of a song; I would also like to recommend HARVESTER OF SORROW, SAD BUT TRUE (there's so many that could elevate your appreciation of them) ((Cannot forget about FUEL!!!!))Not to draw away from the Metallica Train, but I would also like you to check out FREAK ON A LEASH, by Korn...this video BRINGS THE VIOLENCE, IT IS SIGNIFICANT!
