@@nrsolja1022 For me the song was like an emotional catharsis when I listened to it in my darkest days. Each time I listened the song all my negative emotions poured out and after it I was left emotionally empty, but in a positive way. I threw away all those negative thoughts. And with time negative emotions & feelings vanished and I was still alive...

@@asmallcloudnebula6963And stay away from the internet. Since a long time, I only go on-line before going to sleep, after the majority of the day is behind me, and I did my stuff. Both obligations, and other things that bring me joy. Including listening to my music CD's on my stereo or portable player. My mental health benefited from an immense boost of positivity. Sometimes I spend 2 days in a row without going on-line. You can practically feel your mind and soul rebuilding and healing themselves. Same logic with TV.

This song has taken me many miles through my life, from the first time hearing it as a pre-teen, trying to understand the changes that were happening. This helped me deal mentally with losing both of my parents, allowing me to grieve with a set of headphones on and flash through many memories of them growing up. Now at 51 this is a song that I listen to daily, and when the time comes I want this played as I fade away.... and I already have it set up to be played LOUD at my graveside for my journey home. This is the best iteration of the solo from Kirk that I have heard in years. I was shocked when he went into the first arpeggiation and he didn’t slap on the wah like normal. Not that I hate the wah, but it was refreshingly clean and tight, with very few modal errors. I don’t think he has ever played it the same live as he did in the recording (even in the old bootlegs from 85-86), however this iteration was pretty damn good.

My place tonight is entirely different then when I lost my brother in 1994.... today I am feeling the 2 year anniversary of the loss of my Dad... but it doesn’t change anything... Metallica still reminds me that I am not alone... doesn’t matter the circumstances... Thank you Metallica (seriously, thank you)

This is the first time I saw this version of Fade to Black. I heard James’ speech during the Dallas concert, but this one was so powerful. I love that he is speaking out for everyone to hear!!! You are not alone!!!

You know the song people claimed made kids take their lives actually saved more lives that they think. Just because it’s dark doesn’t mean we can’t relate. Love Metallica forever

This song is the meaning of that part of life where we don't have, or rather we think we don't have, someone... But personally in my worst moment, I only remember that when I woke up my hand was held by my best friend, and that It is the most beautiful gesture that someone had with me... I get a lump in my throat when I listen to it... It is personally my favorite Metallica song... I am grateful that I woke up at that moment and that I am where I am!! !

Honestly, it is absolutely stunning to me that in all of the social media world, the comments section is an endless pit of hatred and fuckin stupidity, but somehow, someway, the comments section for metallica live videos on YT is an endless outpouring of love and unity by the whole metallica family...It is absolutely excellent and uplifting. Thank you everyone. And thank you Metallica!
