This was by far the best performance Metallica has ever done. The solos were executed perfectly by Kirk, with an incredible amount of emotion and pain. James Hetfield's vocals sound better than they have in a long time, and Lars isn't doing stupid random fills, and his double bass sounded fantastic. I swear they have gotten much better with age, I can safely say this is probably better than the studio version.

They played so good. James did the intro fantastically, Kirk did the solo with no mistake, Lars with his drumming and especially his footwork during the double bass part were very good and audible, and for last Rob was excellent, as usual. You still rock! \m/

Lars' double bass actually sounds great, Kirk isn't drunk and plays better than he has in years, James' voice sound awesome and I can finally hear that fat bass sound from Rob? I guess Metallica is finally back...
@accidentals_hacks5 жыл бұрын
that's because it's been doctored in the studio. Most "live" recordings aren't really live.

actually I take it back. It sounds live. I don't know this doesn't groove as well as they used to back in the day. Disjointed. Sorry...

Life it seems to fade away Drifting further everyday Getting lost within myself Nothing matters no one else I have lost the will to live Simply nothing more to give There is nothing more for me Need the end to set me free Things not what they used to be Missing one inside of me Deathly loss this can't be real Cannot stand this hell I feel Emptiness is filling me To the point of agony Growing darkness taking dawn I was me but now, he's

Had this song on repeat right before I got admitted to a psychiatric ward for being actively suicidal after a few years of shit. Oddly, it helped my recovery as it made me think there's beauty in strange places and to never hear this song and millions of others was something I didn't want. 5 weeks later I was out and 10 years later thanks to this song and bucketloads of Venlafaxine I'm still here.
