I love how dumb ass people say bands "sell out" because the don't make the exact same albums over and over again.. as a musician I can say if I wrote the same shit I wrote 5 and 10 years ago I'd hang myself...There are very few albums that I can listen to all day everyday and not get sick of it... they have been playing live shows for 30 years... try go put ride the lightning and and kill em all on repeat for the next year and see how much you want to hear it again.. dont worry i'll wait...

@@afterstars you missed my point. My point is that someone may say they don't like Metallica because their early thrash metal is too heavy or fast or loud, but if you show them a song like this they may actually start liking Metallica.

getting to grow up with the same "oh dude metallica are sell outs" belief makes me feel great now that i've given a chance to the "forbidden" albums and see that they have much to offer...they might not carry the same fistinyourface attitude but man some songs really got something to say.its good music.and as a music fan that tries not to be narrow minded i respect that.cheers.happy birthday het!

@metalhead6526 I agree, I feel sad as the band never liked him specially James and Lars, Kirk was cool with him.. James never allowed him to step up.. so yeah he quits.. as per the the interview James described it as "Metallica and Jason" , they can never forget Cliff Burton as the OG Bassist which they constantly compare Jason over the OG bassist who was crushed to death. ...

Man, what a great song! It's amazing how they can take a song with a strong country melody and then put a Thrash Metal spin on it. This song proves that us Metalheads can enjoy other styles of music, and keep our Metal roots, such as Metallica has. Great song by a timeless awesome band

HELP ME OUT, WHAT ONE IS THE RIDE SYMBOL? THE ONE THAT ALMOST LOOKS LIKE ITS AN UPSIDE DOWN SYMBOL WITH THE FLAT RIM?
@gunslinger81307 жыл бұрын
There are various sizes of cymbals, but the main ones are of course the hi-hats, then there is the the ride cymbal which is usually a bigger cymbal, the crash cymbal which is slightly smaller, and the splash cymbal which you described...it looks like an upside down cymbal with a smaller cymbal on top...like putting a saucer on top of a dinner plate. That's basically the jist of it. I could go on, but there are a lot of types of cymbals as well as drums...but that's it in a nut shell. The ride cymbal has more of a ringing tone to it.

Mama, they try and break me. The window burns to light the way back home A light that warms no matter where they've gone. They're off to find the hero of the day But what if they should fall by someone's wicked way? Still the window burns, time so slowly turns Someone there is sighing Keepers of the flames Do you feel your names? Do you hear your babies crying? Mama they try and break me Still they try and break me 'Scuse me while I tend to how I feel These things return to me that still seem real Now deservingly this easy chair But the rocking stops by wheels of despair Don't want your aid But the fist I've made for years won't hold or feel No I'm not all me So please excuse me while I tend to how I fell But now the dreams and waking screams that ever last through the night (echoed between James and Jason) So build the wall behind it crawl and hide until it's light Can you hear your babies crying now? Still the window burns Time so slowly turns And someone there is sighing Keepers of the flames, can't you feel your names? Can't you hear your babies crying? But now the dreams and waking screams that Ever last the night So build a wall behind it crawl And hide until it's light So can't you hear your babies crying now? Mama they try and break me Mama they try and break me Mama they try and break me Mama they try mama they try Mama they try and break me Mama they try and break me Mama they try and break me Mama they try and break me Mama they try and break me Mama they try and break me Mama they try Mama they try

nonameslb no it wasn’t 😂 the 90’s was Metallica’s best era, huge success, massive record sales, huge worldwide tours as a headlining act selling out arenas etc etc....... you simply can’t get over the fact that a thrash band went a bit more commercial and that’s your only reason for your opinion, you probably secretly loved the load/reload era but follow the heard that say it’s rubbish...... actually sit down and understand that it’s not thrash and compare it to the other rock around and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how amazing load and reload are 👍🏼
