This is easily my favorite of the new singles. It does have an And Justice For All feel which makes sense since it's probably my favorite album from them and was one of the first CDs I ever got back in the day.

I think this is one their best tracks since the black album, they delivered at their age is crazy. That solo is fire 🔥 that transition at the end caught me off guard. Same feeeling Justice for all sound, especially the opening riff. Eye of the beholder that’s what it sounds like mixed with enter sandman

I think this and Lux Æterna is the best of the 3 released, its nice songs, still not heard the true masterpiece from this album, so i hope its there.. nothing wrong with just good Metallica however..lol

This gives me a vibe of The Thing That Should Not Be from Master Of Puppets and Eye Of The Beholder from Justice nice dark song James sounds great 👍 can't wait for album you all Rock metal friends

A TOTAL BANGER!!!

I have listened to this 10 times to get over the initial euphoria of metallica releasing a new song and i think the intro starts out well then just sort of dribbles away without resolving itself then all of a sudden Hetfield is singing. This reminds me more of a military marching band except there are no girls in mini skirts to keep you interested or is that the police bands, doesn't matter you know what i mean. The 2nd riff just uses the most popular riff in metal e to f# and nothing else. Kirks solo is the best part of the song maybe the only part. It is like they tried to use the minimal amount of musical ideas and stretch them out over 7 mins. But it's their band so they can do what they like, it's still good to hear them going at it.

Definitely has that classic Metallica chug.

I've liked all three songs as a whole, but man it just feels like Kirk is phoning it in with the solos. It's the same improvised Kirk licks everytime and I'm a little bit surprised they apparently no longer have the ambition to go after actually composed and thought out solos like they did earlier on in the 80s and 90s. It's a shame because the capability is in there somewhere. I guess there's no one pushing Kirk like Bob Rock did back in the day. James should take the reins and throw a solo or two in there too.

The main riff is sick

This imo could easily be the missing track for the Black album lol. Listen to Lars' drums with James' tone. Sounds a lot like the Black album or the opening does at least. Just my opinion though

If you haven't checked out Hammerhedd yet, you gotta give these kids a listen. Ages 14, 17 and 19. The drummer is better than Lars and the guitarist plays rhythm just as good If not better than James. Metallica, Meshuggah, Tool and Sepultura being among their influences. Pioneer To Be would be a good track to check out first.

I keep going back and forth with this one. I would possibly say the intro is too long and I'm sorry to say I think Kirk may be out of ideas in terms of his solos... Time will tell. On the plus side James is still the fuckin man!

I find it funny how certain people will shit on them when they try something different. And others will shit on them for being traditional Metallica. This song would be a perfect fit for The Black Album. And just so you know...I hated Enter Sandman too. Everybody knows of Hetfields' addiction problems. So breaking down the lyrics is not necessary. Just listen.

The only two weaker spots I see are the chorus Melody and the solo. Like the opening, the main riff and the verse, but the tune sounds like just the continuation of hardwired, nothing more

This is one of the few songs I just have to fast forward through the solo. The solos are supposed to make the song better. I think kirks solos so far have made the songs worse. Besides cutting about a minute and a half off this song. The rest is good.

Its more from Death Magnetic in my Opinion, but in saying that to me this is just Generic Sounding Metallica of late...but this is the sound they are happy to do and I respect them for that...I hear it all the time is Metallica getting worse or are other Bands like Orbit Culture just that Dam Good...I dunno. We all want another Master or Justice but it's not up to us , I still enjoy those Albums today...as they are Classics but then there are those that like their new sound...so it's each to their own. If you don't like it, don't listen to it but this is Metallica today...and we have to again respect and appreciate that...well we don't have to I guess

Song needed to be edited to short intro riff, transition to temptation riff to be the main riff, and a small transition bridge to chorus riff, fade with chorus riff without lyrics and then the song would be killer
