Love this guy. I don't always agree with what Metallica does, whether in the studio or otherwise, but I'd love to sit down and just have a beer with him. Very personable. True story - many years ago, he was in an airport bar and my friend happened to be there. She nervously went over and asked if he'd sign her napkin. "So you're a fan, huh?" he asked. "Yeah," she replied, "but I liked you guys better before you sold out." Hetfield laughed and offered to buy her a drink. Just an awesome dude.

I met him back in 97 or 98 in Stuttgart Germany Backstage at the Blindmans Ball Festival. Very nice and cool guy and very relaxed with dealing with his fans. he took the time to talk to us and sign autographes!

I remember seeing them in Winnipeg on Thanksgiving, and It had around 16,000+ people there, that was the most i've seen at a concert at the MTS Centre, and I heard they had a bigger crowd than Bieber, which makes me happy to hear.

A lot of metallica fans actually feel how he describes. Back in the day battle lines were drawn and if you were a poison or motley crue or bon jovi fan you would not get along with a metallica fan lol And we certainly did feel we were better as metallica fans. It is kind of silly to think like that some 18 or so years later. But that kind of loyalty for the band still exists, and they don't take it for granted

Even when they grow old and die, Metallica will live on, in the fans... \m/

@siggasoffa Infact tons of bands play in Winnipeg, Slayer just came with Rob Zombie, Pearl Jam is Coming, Alice in Chains is hosting a Festival, Motorhead came in February, Ozzy Came in November, Iron Maiden Came on June 30th last year. There seems to be an announcement for Concerts every month.

When i'm 60,70, 80 odd years old, i'll still be listing to metallica, that is if i still have my hearing at that age. lol....
