Jay and Liza's reaction to Metallica's 'One'. Liza can relate to the lyrics having a close relative undergo similar circumstances. Jay decides to learn Morse code just in case...SOS "One" is a song by American heavy metal band Metallica,[2] released as the third and final single from the band's fourth studio album, ...And Justice for All (1988). Written by band members Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield, the song portrays a World War I soldier who is severely wounded-arms, legs and jaw blown off by a landmine, blind and unable to speak or move-begging God to take his life. His only hope is to devise a way to communicate with the hospital staff. In the music video, he jolts in the hospital bed, spelling "Kill me" in Morse code.

The movie is part black and white and part color. The b&w parts are reality and the color parts are his thoughts and dreams. “Johnny Got His Gun” is an amazing movie and Metallica did a fantastic job of bringing it attention through their musical interpretation.

He’s a war veteran that lost his sight, hearing and all of his limbs from a land mine. He wants to die but they’re keeping him alive

he's not sleeping he can't see because he has no eyeballs or face his face is gone but he is awake there wasn't encephalography back then Dr.'s thought he couldn't feel it but were wrong.

Jethro Tull won the first Rock category award, giving him a Grammy for playing thar hard rock flute... yeah, that's right , a flute beat out Metallica for Rock artist during the debut of the catagory.

When Jethro Tull won, after Metallica performed this live at the Grammy’s lots of boos inside the Amphitheater.. Grammy’s made it up to them in the following years

Isn't it funny how the military man tells the doctor he's a product of YOUR profession NOT MINE!!! That makes me so mad. The kid went to fight for the country and then gets blown up and that's how he's treated. Also idk if its me or if others "feel" the solo starts and progresses the music almost sounds as if they are the weapons of war.

Happy anniversary! I would like to suggest something uplifting and hopeful as we worry about Ukrainian people today. This is just one Ukrainian group, a very popular, fun and quirky one!
