Ummm... okay, I see that there is MUCH MORE to mention about at least JAMES Hetfield's "lifestyle" here. Okay, so James watches sports of many teams etc. Then, many " Hot Rod Shows". And, THEN, in 2017, James and his wife had donated 240 acres of land to, an agricultural conservation, in Feb 2018 the Hetfields donated 1.000 acres to the Merin agricultural land trust. Now, the Hetfield's own about 50 acres of their original 1150 properties, having donated the rest to charity. James has been married to Franchesca Tomasi since August 1997, they have 3 children together. Now, I am quite SHOCKED to see that James has been married to the same woman since the 90's. This is NOT A judgement ON HIM PER SE. But, I am shocked that a FAMOUS musician COULD be able to KEEP a family, wife and band,. ALL HAPPY. I love METALLICA. The Metalla dudes have changed a good bit since they were younger. And, really we all do. I can see getting into James's more "nature" lifestyle, BUT, Kirk is now living in Hawaii, and I do hope that HE is alive and well after those wildfires that have devastated large swaths of parts of Hawaii. Maybe Kirk's family had not been on the same island where the devastation had occurred? Rob Troujjio is a great bassist, and he gets so into it that who could ever see Metallica without him now? Those that CAN see it, need an emergency eye exam. Then we have LARS, the kinda snarky drummer in Metallica. Sure, he can be a real "smart ass" or a bit of a "BULLY". But, he really IS a BIG part of the machine that is METALLICA. For SO LONG it has been Lars, James, Cliff and Kirk. Then since they NEED a BASSIST, it has been Jason and Rob. Originally it was CLIFF BURTON. Cliff had been killed in a freak accident in Sweden, when the bands bus had wrecked on some icy road patch, and Cliff had been unlucky in his choice of area to sleep that night. He and Kirk had been debating as to WHO would be sleeping where that night. Kirk had been so lucky to have lost the battle as to who would get that CERTAIN place that night. And,. sadly, Cliff had been sleeping in the bed that had made him be mortally wounded in that bus crash. I am glad that KIRK is still alive, BUT, we lost Cliff, and Cliff had been a VERY talented Bassist. And, he had a LOT to do with where Metallica had ended up as far as them getting well known enough to have some videos and songs from "Ride the Lightening", being seen on Mtv. In fact CLIFF had insisted that the band members LEAVE LA, and be based in SAN FRANCISCO. I would know MORE, BUT, I had never had Mtv or cable at all when I was a kid. MY bff would record the AUDIO for me back then. And, so now, I am just aware that Metallica had had Cliff in the band back in the day of "Kill em all" and "Ride the lightening", and "Master of Puppets", THEN, when "And justice for all" came out, Jason Newsted had been the bassist for the band. He stayed for a while (I am not sure how much longer) longer. I do KNOW that he had been HAZED a LOT. I do NOT know if that HAZING is WHY he chose to LEAVE the band though. But, now we have Rob Troujjio on bass. Rob is a very fascinating dude to watch play. He has very LONG and BEAUTIFUL hair. And, his moves while he plays are just mesmerizing. Yes, I AM infatuated with him. Kirk is a cutey too. BUT, the music is great, and that is what REALLY matters. And, ' NOTHING ELSE MATTERS".
