This is not exactly metal...this is like a classic folk guitar piece that they added into a song. Just like Fight Fire with Fire, the intro sounds a piece that can be heard from a mini medieval period

I feel like i’m the only person who has a problem with the sudden transition from acoustic to distortion in this one song, in the other acoustic intro songs like battery or fight fire with fire it at least has a transition that flows really well while to live is to die just has the drums awkwardly come in while the acoustic just bleeds away

Actually for me this the only difficult acoustic intro they have ever written. All other acoustic intros are a piece of cake but they sound wonderfull as well. (fade to black, the day that never comes, sanitarium, the unforgiven, bleeding me....) just to mention some.
