Brings me to anger, rage, and tear in my eyes I watch this every time. Every one of us has a role to play in society. Not all of us are born privileged. We shouldn't be judging anyone and lets be kind to those while we can afford to do so. You never know anyone's history - so never judge. Everyone out there, is fighting a battle.

I haven’t seen this video in 20 years and I remember watching this on MTV 2 Rock back in early 2000’s and it literally made me shed tears 🥺 as I grew up in my LATE 20’s and early 30’s I was homeless a few times and staying in those cheap motels like at Rodeway Inn, Motel 6, Holiday Inn, and even Dirt Cheap Roach motels and I’ve seen homeless people that we’re sleeping in their cars and sometimes in Walmart parking lots or behind CLOSED businesses. I’ve seen drug transactions being made in the streets of parking lots of stores at gas stations, retail stores, restaurants, and I’ve seen strippers that were prostituting for extra money just like this woman is doing. I can only imagine what what happens when the two parties go to more secluded locations and it’s just like how it portrays in this video. The woman who is a single mother with a child is forced to live with these circumstances. IF you’ve ever seen the movie “The Florida Project” 2017 movie that takes place in Kissimmee-Orlando, Florida I live about 16-17 miles away from that motel in the movie. The Magic Castle motel and I almost DID stay at that motel one time and refused bc we looked at a room on the 3rd floor that was a couple doors down from the room that was used in the movie. Thank God I got back on my feet with financial assistance from opportunities and I’m actually a NEW Florida State Guard member and I own a “Lending Business” and “courier logistics” company today.

Ginger Lynn Allen did an amazing acting job in this video, she was alternating between adult and mainstream up until about 2010 but now seems to focus on her mainstream career. Although a lot of her mainstream roles are in movies that no one has really heard of (mostly B-Movies).

Decent people, and I guess even people like me want to do something to fix this, but how? Even if someone like this was brought out of that lifestyle, and in a perfect environment where no one would judge her, would she be likely to take herself off of the drugs? To get a better job (again, perfect external circumstances, no judgments, pimp dead etc.)? Dear God, for the innocent child (and innocent cat)? What is the percentage of people like this fixing themselves, even when their external environment is favorable?
@user-ld2qx5yw3h3 жыл бұрын
@@pinchespiderman I hear your frustration and sense of hopelessness. The main thing to remember when working with a population such as this is to resign to the fact that the client needs to help themselves. You, as the human service worker, are only there to empower the client to make positive changes. Look up "motivational interviewing" to see how that is done. Sometimes you want to shake some sense into them, but sometimes - many times - you can only be a witness to their self-destruction.

I was still in elementary school every time I played the cassette and hear turn the page original song of Bob Seger I thought I will always remember when I was in that such innocent age I can already pick and digest a good quality song. I'm an "you can call me I'm an oriental buddy", I'm an Indonesian, brown southeast Asian. But then when I grew up, I had that good fortune I travelled and lived for a good years in Canada, first city I lived was Montreal. That!, I was in my 30s maybe. And guess what?! Never dreamt about it before, I made my self bought few tickets with friends we attended a concert of: Slayers, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and such. I really thought I was in my peak really like heavy metal. Till then, I found this version of Metallica playing turn the page. Some how the spirit of this song goes through my life's journey. I live in Indonesia now. and of course I love this song.

On a long and lonesome highway East of Omaha You can listen to the engines moanin' Out this one-note song You'd think about the woman Or the girl you knew the night before But your thoughts will soon be wanderin' The way they always do When you're ridin' 16 hours There's nothin' much to do And you don't feel much like ridin' You just wish the trip was through Here I am, on the road again There I am, up on the stage There I go playin' the star again There I go, turn the page So you walk into this restaurant All strung out from the road And you feel the eyes upon you As you're shakin' off the cold You pretend it doesn't bother you But you just want to explode Yeah, most times you can't hear 'em talk Other times you can All the same old clichés Is it woman, is it man? And you always seem outnumbered You don't dare make a stand Make your stand Here I am, on the road again There I am, up on the stage Here I go playin' the star again There I go, turn the page Oh-oh, out there in the spotlight You're a million miles away Every ounce of energy You try and give away As the sweat pours out your body Like the music that you play, yeah Later in the evenin' As you lie awake in bed With the echoes of the amplifiers Ringin' in your head You smoke the day's last cigarette Rememberin' what she said What she said Yeah, and here I am, on the road again There I am, up on the stage Here I go playin' the star again There I go, turn the page And there I go Turn that page There I go, yeah, yeah There I go, yeah, yeah Here I go, yeah Here I go, yeah There I go There I go And I'm gone

I think the message is that raising a child in that environment is harmful and traumatic and leads the child into the same lifestyle. You see the child mimicking mom and even manhandling the kitten the way mom is manhandled by her johns. The mom is providing a tragic example of what life can be. Her daughter may not know to hope for more.

Ну оригинальный текст можно было заменить на свой , в тему клипа , раз уж решили социальную проблему поднять в клипе . Всё же текст о том , как тяжко живётся гастролирующему музыканту , не в полной мере соответствует сюжету этого видеоклипа .

This is no life, but this is the reality of beauty and no self worth. This life can be hard be kind to as many people as you can it always ends in tragedy if you choose to live like this

This is one of what I think is the very few tracks that actually were made better by the cover artist than the original
