I´m deeply impressed. We all know the "restoration" videos where the main part is polishing and buffing all engine parts to a chrome-like finish and applying spray paint to the bare metal of the frame. *This one is quite different*. This was a full engine rebuild with new bearings, bushings, seals, gaskets, piston kit, valvetrain overhaul, timing chain including tensioner and countless other new or refurbished parts. They even sprayed primer on the frame before spraying it with new paint. The engine is basically like new. This Honda may not look as pretty as other "restorations", but it will be very reliable for many years. Look, I´m from western europe, and even I would buy this Super Cub without hesitation, knowing it is in perfect mechanical condition.

When polishing, keep the piece oriented in the same direction and move the piece in straight lines. That will keep it from looking cloudy and make the grain of the metal uniform. Been polishing metal on the side for 15 years.

The bike is absolutely bulletproof. My dad used to have one I stole it when our 15-year old we rode it over the fields for 2 days solid. Through it and a pond. Went back 5 days after . And the thing still started. We could not kill it. Bikes today rely on too much technology. this is basic machine with basic components what does the same job as a complex bike. Why did they mess with perfection I love that bike. And ask for clean all the oil and the gunk of the engine components. You should have you sorted the mall in Pure petrol. Nice work my friend.. this back deserves a second Life

I actually couldn't believe, that the engine has a valvetrain. A serious OHC valvetrain in a 49cc motorbike! I'm truly amazed by Japanese engineering and what they were able to make in the era, when this bike was made.

Best part of this restoration is they used minimal tools and simple techniques.. no high tech equipment talk about being resourceful and talented!!!

I've just bought a 1980 veg c70 fully restored paid eighteen hundred pounds for it these things are fetching serious money now I've had 12 Cubs since 1987 I paid fifty pounds for a c50 then them days are gone mine I knocked mine down from 2200 pounds worth every penny love them.
