I love how at certain places, humor is inserted into this. Like the fake beard on Tonon at the end, and Kit and his training partners rearing their mustaches right in the next shot, and Kit and his trainer at the beginning. It shows both the film crew and the ones being filmed enjoyed this. Their match was also a very interesting one, I like both Gary and Kit, damn fine grapplers and great people, as far as I can tell.

It's a percentage game. When two guys are this good and this close, of course training is number one BUT everyone trains hard and smart. The deal breaker, the 1% thing, the difference that can mean being able to sprawl properly one last time at 18 minutes in to the match, is fuel in the tank. Nutrition doesn't make a difference for very small percentage of people for a very small period of time. For the rest you gotta get the right fuel. Weight, strength, speed, skill, training intensity, will, hunger and all that being about the same, the nutrition can be the deal breaker.

I think it is so funny that you guys are all talking about what Garry said about diet. When Garry could submit all of you!! haha

Shit I love Five Guys just as much as the next guy but ill stick to eating healthy and an occasional cheat day. For me even if nutrition isnt important eating better makes me feel better physically and mentally. If ive been eating like shit it makes workouts and hooping tougher than they should be, for me personally I can tell the difference. Props to all those who can eat whatever and make shit happen though.

The guy who said nutrition is very secondary stuff.. wow really? kidding me? the food you eat is literally everything that you are your thoughts, how much fuel to your cells, how relaxed you feel literally everything is nutrition, sleep and technique/practice. Your cells want fuel and you need the nutrition the digestive enzymes in the raw food, dead food promotes only death on a cellular level but like I see everywhere many athletes neglect at least one thing from lack of understanding weather it be nutrition, sleep or anything else.They see that they are winning and so they feel if nothing's broke, don't fix it just keep doing the same but they don't realize how much they can improve from getting the energy from proper sleep, the fuel from proper nutrition and practice proper technique tirelessly. ALL 3!!!
