What is Plato's Idealism? What is Bishop Berkely's Idealism? What is the nature of reality? Many people assume that reality is primarily material in nature. In this lecture, Professor Galindo explains two philosophies that challenge this assumption. The first philosophy is from Platonism, stemming from Plato's Divided Line philosophy, which believes immaterial ideals are what is most real. The second philosophy is from Bishop George Berkeley, referred to as idealism, which believes that immaterial ideas are what is most real. This is from Professor Galindo's Introduction to Philosophy college course.
