Wow I feel you I went through surgery for this specific part and the first few days were very painful. How long did it take you to recover after surgery? I currently have 3 weeks after surgery. Only 1 screw was used and my staples being removed after the 2nd week.

Get a xray they say if its a clean break it wil heal fine and not need surgery..get a walking boot

Fractured mine 6 weeks ago. Started walking slowly last week. The muscle atrophy was shocking to me. Also a knee scooter helps getting around much better than crutches

@@yass_h_z hey man, first advice I’ll give is to quiz your doc as much as possible. Also keep all weight off it to help it heal faster, I made the mistake of weight-bearing while in my cast cos the cast took the pain away and I thought I’d be healed in no time. Big mistake. Took the cast off couple of days ago, looked at my X-ray and it looked like it had gotten worse. My doc reassured me it’s healing but told me total recovery time will be more around 3 months, I thought it would be 4-6 weeks. Anyways doc told me not to weight-bear at all and I can get an Aircast boot, will be getting that tomorrow. It’s been difficult being sedentary cos I’m a pretty active guy; gym, soccer, basketball, and that’s been the toughest. Trying to navigate simple things like moving about the house is difficult but trust me, you’ll get through it. Focus on your healing, follow your doc’s instructions and find things to keep you occupied, you’ll be fine quicker

U recovered or not tell me

It’s been 1 month now despite all the pain I’ve been through, I can do some step like 10m one go after that I’ve to use crutches 🩼 again but the doctor said I must walk everyday for the same distance, do more if there is no pain and do some stretching exercises. Now I’m sure I’ll be okay completely in one month

I had this surgery in March n I STILL can’t put much pressure on my foot without it feeling like it’s going to split open from the bottom.. I try to walk on it in the house but it is still not feeling stable enough. I would appreciate it if someone would be completely honest like me so I can know if I need to get extended help- like physical therapy- at the moment I am not getting anywhere without it , seemingly 😢🥺😩 I also can feel a small knot up under pinky toe - which I felt ever since I got injured during work. Please tell me what I need to do to get back to my normal life. I can exercise like I used to - I used to walk the bridge daily- this is driving me crazy!! Please respond ASAP thanks 😊 kindly

Foot still swelling also Even with elevated some time It’s been 3 months now and I’m still not feeling normal , still tender . Feel amazing when my foot is rotated and massaging gently feels like heaven lol. I just want to be regular again 😭😭🙏🏾🙏🏾

Hairline fracture is what they suspect now, but in a couple days I'm going in to get x-rays from a specialist when my bones are a bit better healed so they can see exactly what's going on. My doctors have been completely amazing and so communicative in this time, I'm so grateful! But be honest I'm scared having to deal with this pain being a stay-at-home mom, thankfully my mom and sister are coming over tomorrow to help, and every day after when I need them💜ps. Hubby is so loving and provides more than enough, he is so loving.

Sprained my foot, found out I had an avultion fracture. A small rounded bone floating in my foot. Lost one month and then 2 1/2 months because I was rushed back to work. Be careful, these need real rest and time to heal!

@@harshtiwari2388 it all depends on what the doctors say. If it’s seriously bad you may need surgery. If it’s a hairline fracture you need to wear a splint for a few months and you can’t run for a few months with a splint. If you get surgery you can’t walk for a month properly. My comment was a year ago and right now I broke my leg and I’m at home recovering after a surgery but it’s really now that bad. If you need surgery get it. You don’t want your foot to grow wrong

@@joshpropes I can't really say I've recovered. With my 5th metatarsal being fractured, unfortunately it "healed" but not correctly. I need surgery, which means breaking it and putting hardware in.

There’s a bone stimulation therapy that can help called bioventus exogen ultrasound bone stimulation try looking that up

TraRob-EastSide just buy a CAM boot from amazon won’t cost you more than $40 keep it on for 2 months and take some supplements like bone growth you’ll be ok

@@why_ash6478 Got a jones fracture 6 weeks ago, I actually broke it in two places. It's healing up well and the bruising is all gone. I was non-weight bearing for about 4 weeks before I was able to start walking very sparsley in a walking boot. I'm in tennis shoes now. Not sure how far along you are in the process but I'd definetly say the real healing starts when you're relearning how to use both feet, you'll likely be limping for a while after as well. I'd highly recommend getting rose-hip and increasing your vitamin C intake, cod/fish oil was also a daily supplement I took to aid in more collagen production. Usually, these fractures can take 6-8 weeks of non weight bearing but I was feeling great enough and got the ok from my doctors to start at 4, largely because of the rest and high nutrient diet. Do your best to get sunlight because not only is it a great source of vitamin D but it's wonderful for your mental considering you'll probably be on bed rest for at least a full month. When you gain more mobility in your foot, I'd highly recommend doing micro movememnts like rotating your ankle, wiggling your toes, and being able to place your heel on the floor without putting weight on your foot. This will help stimulate the healing, promote better blood flow, and prevent any muscles from atrophing completely, but please be careful not to re-injure yourself. Lastly, when you're back to walking regularly, do epsom salt soaks for your feet a few times a week, it feels great and will take any risidual aching away before bed. Best of luck to your healing, I know it can be a really sucky process, but you'll be a lot more excited to do what we considered something mundane before.

Yes, but it depends on how bad the fracture is. I fractured my 5th metatarsal but didn’t need surgery. Took me about 6 months to be able to be active without restrictions

Update I needed surgery 3 screws in the foot. I am just started to weight bear!!! Surgery was nov 12... long way to recovery!!! Horrible foot damage
