The FNF Soft Mod follows Benjamin Fairest, or Soft BF, alongside Pico as they run away from Soft BF's abusive parents in hopes of achieving their dreams. Soft BF wants to be a painter instead of a singer, however Father Fairest and Mother Mairest keep finding their way in the couple's personal lives.
Soft BF and Pico adventure through different areas each week, and find themselves with familiar Friday Night Funkin' characters like GF, Skid & Pump, and Monster (or Lemon Demon). Senpai appears to be their next friend or foe in Chapter 6. What will happen? Follow the Soft Twitter for updates, leaks, and more!
There are many original songs in the FNF Soft mod that are absolute bangers. Among these are Starcrossed, Genesis, It's Complicated, and more. The instrumentals to these songs include some easter eggs such as the Megalovania theme or even Home Depot! Other songs that garnered large attention are Envy, Spotlight, and Diplopia.

It's great to know that people like Tama can just go out now and make the art and entertainment they want, even at a young age. It's these kinds of efforts that will motivate young artists out there to go and make their dreams attainable like these modders are now doing. Great interview, great mod. Thanks for sharing.

The nice thing is that Tama helped me out when I was going through the same situation (Not being able to and too scared to ask people for help) It’s nice how far I’ve gotten with her and others help ^^

This is for Tama, I have an idea for Garcello as a soft character. So Pico and Boyfriend are walking around like minding their own business after a long time of recovering from a hard December. Then Christmas comes, they end up lost, then Garcello recognizes him as he was there. You know they sing songs bla bla bla. Then Garcello asks "What else had happened in your life?" as a concern for his mental health. And Boyfriend ends up telling him almost breaking down. The last song aka the third song is like emotional but also opening and wholesome. The last cut scene is where Garcello asks if he could try to give boyfriend a home, and a better life for as long as he lived. Boyfriend ends up accepting and Pico is really happy for him. Yeah thanks for listening

As a 19 years old who is still mentally abused to this day, the dialogue of Week 5 and the song Hope were making me really happy, as I also wish to say that to my parents even though it wouldn't work for me as they wouldn't listen as usual. But yeah I don't get how people can say Week 5's dialogues are unrealistic. They were the best part !

@@MetateraYT I've had content creation as a hobby, actually a passion, for a long time ^^ But FNF is making reach new heights ^^ However, kinda like Tama, I'm mostly a game designer. Creating characters, stories, and also a bit of art. I have great mod ideas (or at least I think they are great) but I can't find a team to help me make them. And it's so annoying I really want to make mods... The fact that I have an old tablet as my only way to do anything, which means most of this anything doesn't work on it anymore and that my mother is toxic and doesn't relaize my potential as a content creator (and she despises video games and doesn't even accept the fact I'm trans) doesn't help. But I have the hope it will get better one day. But thanks for the support ^^

I'm not sure if you've tried these methods already, but finding Subreddits, Discords, Twitter tags, etc. for searching mod members may help. There will always be communities and people out there that want to support you, and I wish the very best for you with everything =)

I personally really liked the FNF Soft Mod. My favorite songs of the mod would have to be its-complicated, spotlight, and genesis. I guess my favorite character of the mod would have to be either Soft BF or Soft GF. The songs I had the hardest time on would have to be Spotlight, and all of Week ???.

Soft mod really isn’t my cup of tea but I do admire it! The characters are nice & the original songs are bangers! I find it awesome how the antags of each week are based on real people & I find it inspiring how Tama was able to put aspects of their trauma into the game, They are so strong for that!

I think soft mod is definetly my favorite mod! It was the first one i tried and hoenstly, then its just kinda stuck with me! The dialouge, the character designs and the story- I cannot explain in words how fun and exciting it has been for me to try and analyse the story myself, before i saw this! I myself haven't really gone through much parental truama, but I still get the symbolism and what Tama and the others on the soft team, was trying to say- and it still breaks my heart to think that the story isnt at all unrealistic- I love how you've shined a light on some not-so-fantastic things, in such a nice way. Great job, and please keep working hard, you're all doing fantastic

I have four words to describe the Soft Mod. An Artwork and Masterpiece. Also my favorite song from it is Genesis. There’s quite a few things that this video brought my attention to. 1. I always had a theory that in this AU, the BF stood for his actual name, whatever it was, and this video confirmed that. I like the chosen name for him too, being Benjamin Fairest. (unless my ears are dead today lol) 2. I honestly didn’t guess it was Senpai either, but either way I’m excited about it! 3. I’m honestly really hyped about the spooky boys getting a better backstory in the mod! I’m also curious on what those two have gone through in this AU. 4. I REALLY, like the monster symbolism. Especially the symbolism with the blue jaw & hands. 5. Finally, the mother looks great. (Or, what we can see of her) I Can’t wait. So, yeah. That’s what I noticed, I know I'm a year late to this, but I have started re-visiting this as of recent. It’s just as good as it was a year before, if not better.

I personally love the soft mod even if I never actually played it I love the story and character design and I just think that everyone did an amazing job also my favorite song from the soft mod is Genesis I just love everything about this song and it kinda makes me kinda sad but in a good way all I have to say is that my favorite part of the song is the scream Bc you can really hear the emotion and anguish of everything Soft BF has been through poured into it and I think it’s such a great lore for the mod and it really shows how he’s finally free from his chains and gets to live the life he always wanted and it just makes me feel happy for him once again I just wanted to say thank you Tama for the effort you put into creating this amazing mod I appreciate your work in every way :)

1:47 I mean I have a somewhat similar moment. Not like art or anything but rather an idea that I really wish was in FnF but isn't yet. And the music from that game/idea would be really good. As my basis is my love for Puzzles & Dragons. That game is such an old mobile game and Gungho made some real good music for it, and that got me thinking why not something based on that and the tracks from P&D? I have the trouble of having an idea but being not too good at art, and no sprite ot coding experience. (I even had an idea for a Gimmick being that there could be Poison Orbs from P&D in there and they would do like 20% of your health per one you hit, but the big deal is the timing of it. Like P&D the Poison damage would actually occur at the end of the turn [So when BF finishes his round of notes]) Edit: I wanna say when I hear Tama I tend to think Tamadra, that shows how much I like and enjoy P&D. Just kinda a small connection I make between her username and a game I enjoy, but I wanted to say it.

I know I'm really really late to the party lmao, just played the mod less than a week ago found out a whole truckload of official info on it, but wow. Gotta say, props to Tama. Though I never experienced true abuse from my own parents, being an emotional person and having experienced/pulled through the "depressing and anxious phase" in life with little support, I definitely know how heart-breakingly painful it must have been to reflect on traumatic experiences and going as far to make a whole story from them. I personally find the mod very cute and even wholesome yet sad (in a good way!). But I also noticed that in recent months, this mod got a considerable amount of rotten tomatoes from the internet. While I do respect people who merely dislike the mod but generally keep a low profile due to it being quote on quote, "too generic" or just not of their taste in some way since everyone has their opinion, hating it to a point of starting public controversy isn't acceptable to me. This mod does indeed cover a serious topic still very existent nowadays. Sadly, it isn't going to disappear on its own, especially if everyone is gonna be oblivious, saying it rarely occurs. Youth suicide hasn't been skyrocketing lately for no reason... But yet again, I'm here to give my praise and respect to the devs for keeping the mod running, coming up with more interesting content despite all the toxic and emotionless backlash, and keeping a positive outlook to those true friends around despite all they've been through. That's a feat that I know no normal person like me can achieve. Sorry for the long comment... but there's my thoughts. Keep up the amazing work!

My main problem with Soft was that over half the songs are not original, but I heard that the og FnF songs that were still in the mod are being replaced.

I have a theory that Soft Skid and Pump are going through sexual abuse. The ride from someone in a white van and "getting candy cane" thing seemed so weird, specially with BF's reaction to it.

Good question! For editing videos? I heard DaVinci Resolve is the best free editing program for that. I use Adobe Premiere, but you need a paid subscription. As for audio, I heard Audacity is a good free program for that! You may be able to do both editing and audio in DaVinci Resolve if your mic is good enough though. Hope that helps :)
