Quick little long range whoop flight at the end. Made it further than I anticipated. Upgraded Betafpv Camera 200 mw Vtx Crossfire nano with tiny immortal T.

Wow, what a range at the end of the video - looks like almost 1 km

Ok, I need to dig more into your setup as still I'm impressed by the distance achieved by your whoop ;) I already ordered VIPER Antenna 5.8Ghz Linear Receiving Patch (menacerc.co.uk/product/viper) as somewhere else I read that it doubles the range. My plan is to buy Tango 2 with is of course crossfire. In other thread you said that VTX is BetaFPV A01 200 mW. So the questions are: 1) What antenna you used in the googles? 2) What camera you used? And most importantly 3) What FC was used that allowed to attach external VTX and in addition attach Crossfire receiver? :)

BetaFPV Meteor 75 changed its product quality, what you see in this video is not the drone that is being sold today

@@Sandaco far far worst they break after just a few crashes and are riddled with defects of all types

Dang, yeah my old one just broke and I was looking at getting another for long ranged flights like this. Thanks for the tip! What would be a better whoop to use instead?

@@Sandaco I really wish I knew, I have lost trust in all of these companies and in youtubers. You never know what your getting. If u get something get it from Amazon who will take it right back with no questions asked. Most drone distributors will stick you with defective product and or give you major headache after selling you defective product. product support stalls until you give up and cut your losses by just forgetting about it.

Once again thank you so much I will look to maybe just build another from scratch and salvage what’s left from my meteor75

Nice flight ! Something seems weird with your RSSI (or LQ) value, it never reach above 71 % ?
@HarperJason4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm not sure why my rssi starts kinda low. Maybe dynamic power? Even my 5" quads start around 80. Always been like that for me on both my taranis, and tango 2. LQ on my 5" stay at 300 for a good while though so I know its fine.

@@HarperJason On tango 2 or on crossefire module / LUA script: Set channel 8 output of nano rx to "LQ" (more accurate than RSSI). With betaflight: set RSSI scale to 100% and RSSI channel from AUX4 (channel 8 = AUX 4). You should read 100% or 99% RSSI in betaflight and on OSD. By the way, with tango 2, you can set output power to 250W an not dynamic, it won't really affect autonomy
