This is another way to factory reset your Samsung Tablet

This is useful if you have forgotten your password but want to wipe your device to make it useful

Thanks a lot man, you saved me a lot of money. My wife gave her tablet to our daughter and she forgot the password. I was about to send it to Samsung to flash new firmware onto it and now I don’t have to. Doing updates now 😁😁

I finally (after days of trying) got this method to work! - Press and hold power + volume down - RELEASE BOTH KEYS as soon as the screen blacks out - When you hear the soft buzz, immediately press and hold power + volume up + home. - Keep holding until you see the blue screen. Some more tips: - The timing is very sensitive, so you have to try and try again - Some people reported that having the device plugged in / paired made a difference. I did it without. Doesn't seem to matter for me. - If you see the animated SAMSUNG logo, you know you failed. So you don't have to wait for it to fully boot before trying again. Just press and hold power + volume down again. This has been very tedious and frustrating. But hang in there and you will get it!

Hi Rick, my home button is sort of just pushed into the tablet and doesn't work anymore. I have a Samsung sm-t230, a pretty old one so the first method doesn't really work for me. Would appreciate any help!

If your model needs the home button to enter recover mode, your might have to get that repaired to be able to wipe it

I know this is a shot in the dark, but I have an old 10 Viking Pro 2 in 1 and I’ve forgotten my password. I’ve done a hard reset, but every time I restore my data like I’m supposed to, it just goes back to asking for the old password. hmm i would have expected method 2 to work Boot Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 T350 Recovery Mode using Hardware Buttons Power off your phone. Once the device is off, press and hold the Volume Up + Home + Power button together for a few seconds. Release the keys as soon as you see the Samsung logo and wait for few seconds. Should be in recovery mode

You will need to recover your Google account and make a new password Other wise the tablet is only good for spare parts

if you dont know the google account on the tablet, you might be out of luck. i would recommend taking to it to local phone repair shop and see if they can help

This is BS. It doesn't help reset a tablet. You still need the previous login.

It has been wiped but after its wiped it then needs to talk back to google Google Factory Reset Protection www.androidcentral.com/factory-reset-protection-what-you-need-know
