Supermarkets demand accuracy, flexibility, and economy when it comes to temperature control. Because of the vast array of products that must be safely refrigerated, sometimes the conventional thermostat and solenoid or suction pressure cut-out methods are just not good enough. That’s when you take the next step and utilize modulating valves to control pressure and temperature. Evaporator Pressure Regulators (EPRs) provide an economical means of accurately maintaining evaporator pressure and refrigerated space temperature under these varying loads.

Good effort. Thanks for making. But this is one of those videos where: if you understand what he's doing/saying, you don't need to watch it. Someone with good teaching/commication skills could take this video and add instructive sections with diagrams of what he's talking about.

I have a question on your Evaporator pressure regulator. How far can the EPR still works if i have a air on dx evaportor at 34 deg c; 64% rh and i need to achieve and apparatus dew point of 13 deg c off coil at X amount of air flow. However could ur EPR still works to achieve an apparatus dew point 13 deg c off coil at an air flow of X ÷2 air flow ( 50% air flow) and the compressor had down loaded 50% of compressor motor rpm. I am trying to understand and not trying to put any product down. If it is possible i am giving a serious thought on EPR.

Sporlan Evaporator Pressure Regulating valves (EPRs) are designed to provide an economical means of accurately maintaining evaporator pressure and temperature under varying evaporator loads. The primary function of an EPR is to prevent the evaporator pressure from falling below a predetermined value or setting. A consistent evaporating temperature is maintained at the valve setting as evaporator loads decrease. When the evaporator load increases, the valve Opens on a Rise of Inlet pressure above its setting.

@@sporlanvideo, when compressor downloads, the condensing temp drops ( pressure drops) and my evap temp rises ( low pressure increase) and i need to maintain an evaporator off coil of 13 deg c. With EPR can i still achieve an evap temp of the design 9 deg c and still achieve an evaprator off coil of 13 deg c? I am doing a single compressor to a single evaporator. I Understood that the EPR can help to maintain consistent evap temp, however to what extend and till what operating range of download. Example: the EPR will still work when compressor down load up to only 30% operating capacity / compressor motor RPM ?
