To do single point calibration we need to first do Zero point calibration on the uncoated surface. After this we need to go into the menu and enable calibration. Then place the desired calibration foil on the uncoated sample. Now apply the probe and wait for it to give a reading, then steadily raise the probe and using the up or down key adjust the value to be exactly that as on the calibration foil.
Repeat the above step multiple times. It will give you the mean value of the previous calibration readings. Once desired results have been achieved, switch off calibration by going into
menu then calibration then disable.
Then you can test on the foil and will get results which are within the error range of the device and calibration foil combined.
