[Metre Gauge] YDM4 Loco Reversal at Karimganj - February 26, 2013

After our train - Silchar-Agartala Passenger - reached Karimganj, it was time for a reversal, after which it would head towards Dharmanagar. Rajkumar and I decided to stay in the loco to experience this from the cab. After conversion, all express trains bypass it and go via New Karimganj. However, it is still served by six pairs of passenger trains.

I was posted in Lumding division from 2000 to 2001. I visited Karimganj a few times on inspection. I was the incharge of all mechanical Engineering activities of the division. Karimganj is located on border of Bangladesh. By now this MG line has been converted to BG I am sure.
