Wow, what great performance for a game that would make PCs grind to a halt not that long ago...ROG ALLY is not perfect, but with performance like this it cannot be ignored!

Yh it's leagues ahead of the Steam Deck in performance, display, and sound quality. But I still would prefer the steam deck for its trackpads and its better software and optimization.

Love the Ally haven’t had any problems at all with it like it bricking sd cards but i have always ran a higher fan curve than stock playing maxed wattage. I was surprised how good it ran diablo 4 i played it at 720p med/low and could run 100-120fps and it still looked fine. Never understood the hate the ally gets from some people i like it having windows i know windows and i can use all my game launchers. Ive had a deck since day 1 and it’s starting to have a hard time on new aaa games but its still the low wattage king. If i had to pick one it would be the ally

I have the ally as well and I love it, haven’t really tried using a sd slot because I went ahead and manually installed a 1TB ssd and just kept the original as a back up and that was the best thing I done because now I don’t really ever have to worry about space or getting a sd and worry about messing it up. The ally is awesome!

you use amd FMF or lossless scaling? on my legion go 1200p this game runs at 40 fps only

I used to play it on 720p on my laptop-which is not for gaming but it still gave 30-35 fps on 2GB nvidia graphics card MX450 but since the Windows 11 update the fps have dropped significantly making it unplayable in the same settings and even other games that used to work fine are not playable only old games work now.😢 But here i see a beautiful things as i can't buy a new laptop just for gaming as i already have mine for my work.But if i buy this beauty i will be able to enjoy my metro Exodus and all of the free games i have claimed from epic games happily. I don't desire Ultra HD graphics or something i just demand Decent graphics which i can call beautiful and Decent 40-60fps gameplay. If it can run games on ultraHD and provide fps above 60 is also good.

How are you getting the frames you are getting? Same settings, same location, and I average about 45-50fps.

Whats the best settings for battery length? I was trying medium settings 900p with 21w and yhe game runs fine but im getting a lot of screen tearing.

I cannot imagine playing this game with a bloody CONTROLLER. It was hard enough as is with mouse and KB. Lots of fast paced action.

Just connect a mouse and KB plus a monitor 60hz or whatever 120hz it's so easy man

I really don't know whats wrong with my Ally i keep seing reviewers like your self get way higher fps on game but when i try it with the very same settings like this game i can only get 40-60 fps 1080p or 720p

i installed the pc enhanced version and only get 20-30 fps on medium :(

From the Metro site the enhanced version with medium settings with the minimum specs of a RTX 2060 should get an average of 45 fps. Getting 20-30 fps on the Ally sounds about right with the enhanced version since the jump in performance of 1060 (780m is close to it) to 2060 is much larger than 2060 to 3060.

enhanced edition forced ray tracing in game.. you cant disabled the ray tracing at all hence why your fps is very low..

Why only Turbo? Battery down very fast.Performance mode is OK.

If you care that much about battery life then get a Nintendo switch OLED as that will run this game at 30fps for over 5 hours. The Rog ally is designed to play triple AAA games for about 1 to 2 hours max at 60fps high settings which is currently the best performance on the market. Yes battery life is bad but remember this is the beginning and over time batteries can get smaller and more efficient and so they can implement it in the future. But for now those are your options
