An orchestra got bored and decided to play all the music from the NES Metroid game. From the title screen to the ending credits, this has it all! (by orchestra, I mean me and my computer)

Holy shit this is WELL composed! The transitions, the dynamics, the woodwinds at the right places, the brass, there were a few crescendos that just ... *melts*

I like how you transition between songs so smoothly. I'd love to hear a medley of the entire Super Metroid soundtrack. Like a 15-20 minute long track so that you have time to fully explore each theme. That sounds like quite an undertaking though. Maybe one day. Love your work. Keep it up.

This was amazing. The ending could have been longer and more grandiose, but that's my only complaint. Making Norfair's theme sound regal was not what I expected at all, but I loved it. Brinstar was great, and Tourian was amazing. Due to Other M's orchestrated soundtrack, when Sector 0 was said to be like Tourian, I had hoped to hear Tourian's theme orchestrated. Your version is probably the best we'll get and it was glorious.

shoethief Thanks! I definitely made this with the mindset that there are too many Super Medtroid version out there (don’t get me wrong I love that soundtrack!) But the world needs more original Metroid :)

Just one constructive criticism. While the whole orchestral medley is AMAZING, you could have stretched out the end title song a bit more since it is the last song of the medley, you can play the whole song and make it more a grand ending. That's all. But other than that, I thought it was well arranged and well done! It felt like a very cinematic movie adventure playing in my head.

jeff garcia I like your enthusiasm for the music! I shortened the to keep a feeling of forward momentum approaching the end. Since this is a medley I didn't want to have the ending music being so much longer than the rest of the music.

Boy did I enjoy this. I just wish I heard ridleys theme or something to indicate that samus is fighting a boss. That and her getting a item in a quiet room was jarring. But hey, what do i know?

I know Mario and Zeldas scores were more iconic, but I always felt Metroid was more epic and original. It really felt scifi.

Ridley , tourian , escape were good! Why did you skip the samus reveal part of the credits? It's like the highlight of the track

I use a lot of different plugins that it's too much to discuss here, but I'm preferential to stuff from Cinesamples and 8DIO.

There are two game franchises that I continually search for fan versions of the soundtracks. Final Fantasy and Metroid. This is great! A medley is the way to go. I'll be hitting you up on patreon soon. Edit: I'm confused on how Patreon works. I'm a newb... Do I get to download your tracks if I help support you? If so how's that work?

Two other games that you may want to look into - if you haven't found them by now - are Blaster Master and Chrono Cross (the official soundtrack is AMAZING!)

Arty Sho' I use Logic 9 for my DAW. For my orchestra I use a collection of different plugins. I use a good bit of the Cinesamples stuff (brass, perc, and winds). My strings are from the VSL Appassionata set. There are others that I have been known to use, but these are my favorites lately.
