No, i don't think Dark Samus will return. Kensuke Tanabe said in an interview, in 2015, if i remember right, that Phazon and Dark samus are gone for good. Like, at the end of Prime 3 Samus destroyed all of the phazon, it would be a betrayal of the entire arc of the original trilogy

@@arizonaplusMusic i mean. phazon is gone. but dark samus isnt reliant on phazon from what ive seen. they only relied on it due to their grudge with samus. but then again. the whole pride thing or whatever is just a theory i made. maybe they do need phazon to exist. which is a shame. metroid prime is one of my favorite antagonist

@@AliceIzuragi6291 So considering that much, if not all of her body was made up of phazon at the end of Prime 3, it's easier to assume that she disappeared completely along with all of the phazon. And without phazon powers, she wont be able to reform. Besides, it's time to bring another villain to the saga. Dark Samus already had her moment to shine with the first 3 games

@@arizonaplusMusic true. tho remember that dark samus did blow up in another dimension. and managed to return. if they do return. (which as you said is unlikely), then more than likely they will look completely different. afterall. phazon is gone. so the phazon suit would be useless. also im not suggesting them to return as a main antagonist. as you said. they have already shined quite brightly.

I think that now with more technology and time to develop the game, multiple planets would be much more interesting, in my opinion. Having an aquatic setting with the graphics of the Switch 2 is a dream, I'm sure they just haven't shown the game yet because of the next console, at this point, releasing the game only on the Switch would be a waste of potential, especially with so many talented people working in it

@@arizonaplusMusic I agree it should be on "Switch 2" if that is actually what they are calling it? I'm sure it's just a code name like "Nintendo NX" was for "Switch", "Dolphin" was GameCube etc. Unfortunately Nintendo did say it would be on Switch, so either it will be a duel release like they did with "Breath of The Wild" via Wii U and Switch or I suppose at the very at least apologize to current gen Switch owners. I get that it would look better on next gen hardware, and I understand the current Switch has problems maintaining FPS on a decent amount of games. Knowing the Metroid Prime series was the most realistic looking out of all of Nintendo's 1st party IPs, and knowing the rumors about a Microsoft employee allegedly attended one of Nintendo's meetings to get a look at the next console, apparently that employee was shocked and blown away by it, so maybe Nintendo finally made a powerful next gen console that is not one generation behind instead of focusing on fun gimmicks? If this is true, the next console will be perfect for this game because I can totally see a modern day Prime game of all games struggling to maintain 60 fps. I remember reading and watching videos on some of the staff they hired at Retro Studios to make this game. I can't remember the exact games they worked on but it matches the FPS shooter style or the futuristic style needed to make a Metroid game. One of them could be someone who worked on a "Halo" game or two? Which would make a lot of sense. I can ONLY IMAGINE how this game is going to look. I think a lot of people are going to be SHOCKED on how realistic and massive this game is going to be compared to Prime 3 and earlier!! I think they might even bring back voice acting with not only several characters in the game, but I can see Samus having her own voice too like they did in "Other M". Hell instead of reading the "Lore" of whatever alien race will be in the game, maybe you will hear it read out to you with you, how freaking cool would that be!? I could go on and on but this comment is LONG ENOUGH lol. I'll just say one last prediction... I think we are going to get far more new and innovative mechanics, maybe bring back some old ones from 2D Metroid games of the past. Would love to see "Speed Booster" come back for example!

@@CanuckIV it will def have voice acting, there is some job listings from retro that alludes to voice acting and mocap, i saw it in a video recently, on TNT Big Show, i think
