This was my favorite multiplayer game on the DS. From map glitches to gameplay mechanics, especially the time period it was in! People used to use the power beam in Combat Hall to shoot messages on the blank wall to share friend codes. There were crazy wall/out of map glitches and secrets that characters had. Trace could live through an omega cannon blast in its presence if he stayed invisible in triskelion form. You could punish people who went out the map with an imperialist (the red sniper laser) by aiming down its sights. When the reticle hyper focused on someone hiding behind the wall, the laser would go through the wall, in most cases, when you shot it. (Get wrecked cheaters.) If you used the judicator’s freeze ability with Noxus, there was also a term called ‘shadow freezing’. You aimed at the ground while charging the freezing shot, aiming at the ground towards the direction of a player. No matter how far away they were, if you aimed right, you could freeze people from far away. There’s just so much, yet so little you’d find online about it. I wish they’d remaster this masterpiece for handhelds or even other consoles, possibly make it a runnable game on a software like Dolphin. (Like how people run smash bros. Melee on their computer.) Heart-Achingly Nostalgic.

My favorite was playing the prime hunter game mode, playing anybody but Weavil, but then using his cannon. You still have the faster shooting speed because you're not Weavil, but you get his affinity bonus of more damage and EXPLOSIONS! SO MANY EXPLOSIONS!!! It was so op but I've never seen anybody else use it.

I remember playing this game with mates via wireless play and owing them . It's a really well thought out and put together game. I've not played a better shooter on a mobile platform honestly. I used to love sniping my mates with the sniper (I think it's the red beam) oh good old days. They need to re release this game in HD with better graphics and larger multiplayer capability. There just isn't a solid first person shooter on the 3DS atm. The PSvita has the kill zone mercenary and it shits on any shooter on 3ds

this speedrun is so absurd and yet i love it. theres a new thing that baffles me around every corner, from clipping into a wall, decimating an arena fight with just morph ball boosting, bomb jumping through a boss, and even rocket jumping. this entire run perfectly encapsulates what i love about TAS runs, and also kinda shows what i didnt know about this game, despite playing and adoring it an unhealthy amount.

@TheRaziz321321 Жыл бұрын
It may not be the best experience for Metroid for a DS, but it's sure as hell better than Federation Force. I'm glad I'm able to cherish what I had back then. ☺
@PBJA8921 күн бұрын
It's still light-years better than those two pieces of shit games that came after Prime 3. Other Melodrama and Federation Farce to which IDK what game is worse to play. The unplayable Chibi garbage with DOA online or that Metroid Prime retconning fanfiction that turned Samus into a pussy with daddy issues as well as making Adam Malkovich an absolute asshole to Samus that he almost got her killed TWICE (Once in the lava sector by telling her to activate her Varia Suit after she already ventured through it and letting that infant Metroid nearly attack/kill her after shooting her in the back...FOR NO FUCKING REASON!).
@TakaMaru77721 күн бұрын
@@PBJA89 I'm not going to defend Other M, but Federation Force really isn't a bad game, it's just not a proper metroid game. If you can accept it as a mission based co-op FPS with metroid prime style gameplay- it's actually pretty cool. I would even argue it has the best combat of all Prime games, enemies have localized damage and weak points, plus there are way more weapons and tools you can use. That being said I don't think it's really worth playing solo, but it can be a lot of fun with other people. Pretendo doesn't support it yet, but I will jump back in when it does

Two things that always bothered me about this game is that when you are in outer space and looking at the planets, the sun on the map/bottom screen is not aligned with the real sun/top screen, and the other thing is that there is an unused oribital. That's not the end of its shitty design. The fucking Chibi graphics for Metroid is just as insulting as Other M's terrible fanfiction writing and there's a literal stonewall part of a mission that you get jumped by Space Pirates to defend some tower that you can't beat alone (I tried when I curiously bought and then thankfully refunded that POS game) because it's rigged for Co-Op...which was dead on arrival like that game. You can't even beat that goddamn game by yourself anyway so it's unplayable up to a certain point and it's very early in the game too.

The fact that you didn't pick up every single missile expansion (or whatever they were called) and the energy tanks, and avoided faraway places to get them.
