@ThePervertedHymns I would've loved QUEENS in the front, but seeing this video, I can see why NYC was chosen. There are things we can nitpick about, like the white pants. Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised that I like them.

As a 56 year Mets fan, I've got to be honest I was very skeptical. After see this and seeing how my 18 year old son loved them, I got to admit I really dig them. I took the 7 train to Shea Stadium many, many times growing up and these are definitely fire!! My son and I will be rocking these to rep NYC and the Mets. Hope the hat comes in a snap.

They spent their careers here but they didn't rep the city or really even claim it in their music with the same pride the ad tries to have for the city. Legends, but weird choice for this campaign.

@sasco7099 I dunno, I think the overall message of putting in work fits perfectly. Sure, they could've chosen a Nas song, but this works nicely. You could argue that using a song written by a guy from Houston and a guy from Boston who set up shop in NY makes even more sense, being that players came from all over to call the Mets their home.

I'm a designer - these are horrific. Why? They are the Yankees colors!!! OMG what a miss! Queens was the way to go - but ok, dress as the Yankees for a few games. Gray and pinstripes - why do the Mets always make themselves into a joke. Any your comment is these are "Clean" - btw they are far from clean in any way shape or form. Clean means minimalist and not busy... and dark grey isn't exactly clean.

@@thundacracka77 I love them too because of the contrast but I would’ve had the token patch in purple with white NY exactly like the 7 train. White over purple on the NYC and name/numbers would’ve popped more than dull black/white. The cap really compliments it.

@@NothingToPointOut24 The ChiSox' jerseys say Southside, and they're one of the better ones. Also the Yankees' city connects should absolutely say The Bronx! The beauty of NYC is that it IS a collection of different boroughs. Queens is in the Mets' blood as much as the greater NYC is

@@TRosati26 Chicago's saythat because there is a strong disconnect between the Sox and Cubs fanbase. There are no Cubs fans on the Southside. Going into Comiskey with Cubs jersey is like going into Philly with a Mets jersey. Or atleast it used to be. Im not really against Queens being put on the jersey since in the end the team is going to wear them like 8 times and probably do away with them forever, the Mets or Yankees for that matter were never going to cement themselves as a borough. Same reason why the championship parades are in Manhattan and not where the stadiums are.

Love the video. The unis are alright. The purple is the only part that I'm like "why" just "why"? There's no good reason I know of. That could be a dark navy blue and I'm in. The letters also are a liffle iffy, especially the 'Y' -- that said, I think they're alright. I'm cool with it being a once in awhile alternate look for the team. I unfortunately don't think I'll be buying one. I really wish that swoop and those cuff accents were anything other than purple. A silvery light grey to contrast the dark background and the letter stroke.... that'd been nice. A muted flat orange. Just why purple?
