That’s a catchers problem. They want to move up to get the benefit of the calls but it comes with a risk. The catcher clearly payed for it.

No it's because he's aged 5 years in one offseason. He's looked terrible and I think he's a Hall of Famer but it might be over for him. Not something amyone expected. I know he had a down year last year and that down year was still over .800OPS I'm sure some people assumed he'd regress again and last year was regression not a fluke bad year but even those naysayers wouldn't admit to thinking he'd struggle this badly.

Goldy was the team Co-Captain, and Mo publicly disrespected him this off-season by bringing in some "veterans" (including a couple who can't even play 5 games without getting hurt and hit less than .200 last year) to be "clubhouse leaders" !! If I was him, I'd be a lttle miffed about that. But this is how Mo operates, and why he should be fired. Goldy sure isn't up there swinging for home runs right now, he sees his batting average on the scoreboard! Tyler O'Neill looked just like Goldy is looking right now. Same with Cody Bellinger, the last year he was with the Dodgers and they refused to give him a contract extension. Both guys are back at the top of their new team's stats and performance, after they got new contracts. Goldy was the NL MVP the year before last. Unlikely he "is done" this soon after that.
